Not sure about that, he does currently have 21 more goals than Patches but also has played 90 more games. I think Patches can easily score 1 goal per 4 games, not sure Perron is better

Don't just look at stats, look at their assets. Perron has a WAY better set of hands.
He doesn't have Pacioretty's drive, but he's still better at scoring goals.
Also, Perron has played rightaway after his draft, while Pacioretty stayed at Michigan and played a couple years between Montréal and Hamilton.

Perron was older though, which should be noted.

-Tremendous physical shape and good size which he's not afraid of using
-Better two way player
-More drive, as you said. Kid is an example of great determination and hard work.
Who cares about hands, Pacioretty is the full package. He brings more outside the stat sheet than Perron does.
Pacioretty has been a great addition for le Canadien and will shine for years to come. If, despite Pacioretty's brilliant season, there remains buyer's remorse and a belated wish to have Perron over Pacioretty, it's necessary to examine the underlying motives.

Mais oui, c'est les chauvinists who won't acknowledge what a gem the Habs have. In my estimation he will be invited to play in more All Star games than that étranger who some hardliners say is supérieur.

I think last year's comeback and performance by Pacioretty shut up all those clowns who questioned the Habs for not taking Perron. They haven't talked since.....
I'm not sure if Plekanec is "much superior" offensively, but he's certainly a much better overall player. Anyway, I'm not even sure Gagner is ultimately going to stick as a center. But he's got a nice 200-pt start on the way to 1,000 at an age where some guys (think Ray Whitney) had just cracked the league. He'll still need some 70-80 pt seasons and decent longevity to get there, but I think he has a chance, anyway. Barring unforseen major injuries.
I think I was a little heavy with the 'much superior' but fact remains, last few years plekanec has outscored him overall. So as of now, Plek can be deemed better offensively. Gagner definitely has a start but 50-55 points in his prime(not in his prime yet, just saying( isn't going to cut it for 1000 points.

Those who attend games regularly warmly cheer Pacioretty, those who loiter outside the Centre Bell and scalp their tickets may not.

Why do you believe that? It's possible ofcourse, but why do you believe that? I think Max has a better overall skillset(not to mention his very impressive work-ethic/drive) to succeed in this league, plus, people underrate his shooting and passing skills. Also, Max shoots ALOT. All indications point to him being a 60-80(depending on line-mates) point player imo.
Let's take the guys ranked 10th to 19th, out of curiosity, how many of these guys would you personally take before Eller? So basically, if all these players were offered up in a 1 for 1 swap for Eller, how many would you take?

Damn but TT has done a fantastic job, only to see his work consistently undermined by the BG/PG regimes. I sure hope he stays with the team long enough to make use of the quality picks the org finally has on hand (after what feels like a decade of dumping prospects for second rounders, then dumping second rounders for rentals).
It's great to see the org putting people in place to deal with pro development of the players TT picks. Again, I just hope TT doesn't decide to move on now that there is a whole layer of management being placed above him. Really though, he's an amazing amateur scout and it's what he should be doing.

It's actually the other way around. Perron seems more fragile than Pacioretty, so I wouldn't be surprised if Pac has a longer and more productive career.
