I hope the ducks sign a really good young stud winger to play with selanne, its so wrong of the ducks to make him play with old scrap parts like koivu, and blake, and yet he still leads the ducks in points. Imagine what he could do with a young stud LW.

It would be awesome if he could get 63 points and reach 1000 points for the anaheim ducks

Why not? Not only can the guy still play, he can still play at a high level. I also think it's important to the Ducks that Selanne continue to play so as to bridge the gap between now and when some of their young players/prospects can step in to that second line role. As or right now, without Selanne it's the Ryan-Getzlaf-Perry line, then nothing, then all the rest of the players.

Bah, retire already! Good move for Anaheim obviously, he still has it...

Jets in the mix?

Selanne interviewed on tv during the Anahiem visit to the Peg and with the crowd roaring everytime he touched the puck I think you could see it in his eyes that he really apprciated the fan reactions. I wouldn't rule out him FINISHing his carrer where it all started so many season ago.
It's going to be an interesting next few weeks for all fans of NHL hockey, it must feel good in the River City to be able to say that again!

Not surprised. I can't see a reason for him not to return. If at 41 he's still putting up 66 points, heck why not come back? Anyone think that he can reach 700 goals this season? He's currently at 663. Anyway welcome back Teemu, come celebrate most likely your last season with the Sharks

It's not really that simple. A lot of these things depend on chemistry. Over the last years, Ryan spent quite some time on Teemu's line. Sometimes they looked good, sometimes not. I don't think one could say that Teemu's production suddenly increased significantly.

Well, Blake will be gone, that much we know.

Teemu is one of those guys you can see breaking Gordies record of oldest NHL player.

Good for the Ducks getting him back and better for the NHL. Too bad for me and my Nucks, guy is just a monster when he sees the Whale.

Now the Ducks would be smart to grab a LW he can show the ropes too. Ideal would grab a young Finnish kid whose looked up to Teemu his whole playing career.

Teemu says that he has an agreement with Ducks GM to make a decision by July 1st or before that date.

Two factors will decide if his career continues, the condition of his knee(s) and motivation.

Congrats Selanne, I hope Alfie decides to do the same thing. Imagine a 2016 draft class of Teemu Selanne, Daniel Alfredsson, Jaromir Jagr and Chris Pronger? Probably the best ever.
