While not impossible that would be one of the most awkward trades in NHL history. Right up there with the few Oiler/Flames deals.

Listening to Therien on the radio and following him on twitter, he doesn't seem like the type of guy to throw out a rumor without any substance. He rarely talks about trade rumors as it is so I believe there is some truth to this.

Sabres get a dynamic hometown winger and something else, Chicago fixes their goaltending issues and gets their #2 Center.

What would the + be? Bolland? Hjammer?

I found it particularly interesting with the wording on Kane.
It wasn't that he was being shopped, he heard he "is on the move".
