Yep, the amount of one-goal games that Quick had that ended up being losses was hilarious, if he was on a team that played even half-decent during the regular season he would be proclaimed the next Roy. The Kings with an average goalie this year would have been Oilers bad.

Honestly with the draft being a couple days away I'm really not even thinking about these awards.

I love Eberle's game.. but how does a last place team getting any nominations for end of the year awards besides rookie of the year? ‪#NHL‬

I get a kick out of everybody still classifying the Oilers as the "last place team" despite the fact that Columbus was 30th in a walk.

I can't wait until next years Calder trophy is given to the player with the best +/-....

But seriously, how do you not give it to the Nuge? If he played the extra 20 games that Landeskog did he would be up by at least 10 points. Regardless of who wins, all three of them are going to become great players.

Yeah, I've always got the sense that Carter holds a tiny grudge against the organization. Oh, well. He's one of many.

Anson Carter of the BJ's was whining in the Columbus papers a few days before, the Friday Edm Sun did an article about him as well. Ken Hitchcock, the Blue Jackets coach, did not have nice things to say about him.

"When you see players at this time of year that say 'I don't have the focus' or 'The coach isn't playing me because he might deal me', that's a very weak excuse," said Hitchcock. "That's a player just allowing himself to get pushed out of the role that he's in. I get a kick out of that, I really do. If you stop and think about it, if you were a player in the last year of your contract, why wouldn't you try to make an impression in the city in which you live?"

Carter was traded to the Carolina Hurricanes for a 5th round draft pick on Friday.
Obviously it was just to get rid of him, because a 5th round pick ain't much.
needs to shut his yapper

Anson Carter is a bitter little ****. He may find it funny that a "last place team" has nominees for awards, but I find it funny that a player who can't get a whiff of an award has the balls to ***** about who gets nominated.

Probably

But it's nice to have a participation ribbon in something other than the Masterson for once.

Karlsson wins the Norris.

Should've been Weber.
