When you see a picture you like, right click and go to Properties, copy the URL and paste it into a new window/tab. It should look something like:

http://images.cbssports.com/u/gettyi...1023_lower.jpg

Change the "lower" at the end to "1024x768" and hit enter. Viola.

If you're on a Mac, then control-click to open the image in a new window/tab and change the address the same way.

NOTE: Strangely, Sportsline doesn't have all Kings-related photos in the Kings photos section. To find others, you'll have to scroll down the entire NHL photo list here: http://www.cbssports.com/nhl/photos
