Rangers may have been "losers" for not bringing in the Nash type player that may have gotten them past the ECF. But at the same time we could have been considered "losers" if we gave up what was rumored in the Nash deal, and were ousted in the first or second round.

For the right price I would love a Nash or Bobby Ryan on the Rangers, but won't consider us losers if a deal isn't made.

Wings are already big time loser.

No one replaces the loss of Lidstrom.

That's a low blow to even bring Columbus up... everyone knows they don't even count as an NHL team right now. Besides for Columbus you could say they need more than everyone else.

Agreed. This should exist after the first few days after free agency, not right now.

When was this done, do have any proof this was done. I know some media people were speculating, but other then that there has been nothing.

Wild will be losers. They'll miss on both Parise and Suter. Not only that, but they won't sign anyone at all.

Have a feeling something big happens.

-Nash bolstering an already heavy lineup (IMO Nash seems like one of those guys that will blend in when he isn't the vocal point. Just a stomach feeling)
-A big name RFA being traded (not Kane or Weber)

I just can't see a scenario where Toronto improves their team, this year. They're really not in the running for any Free Agents, they don't have enough assets (without mortgaging the future) to make a trade for Luongo or Bernier, and their salary situation is starting to become messy with all of the overpaid players there. Toronto fans are going to have wait this out another couple years. The Kessel trade just destroyed any chance of putting a solid team together for 4-5 years.

As for other teams, I can see Philly (if they get Nash) and Detroit (if they get Suter and Parise) being the big winners.

The big losers in all of this will be Phoenix. They can't even afford to pay their Free Agents, let alone the ones that come up for contract negotiations, next year (Ekman-Larsson, Mike Smith, Mikkael Boedker, David Rundblad).

Suter could replace 2011/2012 Lidstrom.
