Has anyone seen anything anywhere else that states the schedule is being released in the next few days?

I guess the schedule will have October/November games on it, which seems like it will be a waste of ink.

If anyone's in Vancouver for the game, then let's meet up for a drink beforehand

Right. No negotiations for a CBA that basically has to be re-written.

If you think the season will be starting on time, thats a losing bet.

if you think they're completely tearing this CBA up you're mistaken.

players will take a lesser share of revenues, but they'll fight to have more types of revenue included in HRR. (more concessions, parking, etc, revenue that teams have the arena arm of their operation claim instead of the hockey operation.)

contract limits will be brought up, with the give back of teams not being able to bury a redden like contract in the minors.

revenue sharing will have to increase so small market teams can continue to spend.

then all the little odds and ends like olympic participation and re-alignment/ expansion can be taken care of.

its a lot simpler than people think. you people worry too much.

the season will start on time.

Rangers are on the Kings preseason schedule for a game October 8th at Staples Center. So far their preseason schedule includes that game, September 26th v. New Jersey in Albany, and October 6th v. Colorado in Kansas City. Safe to say they're starting the season on the west coast.

Schedule release tomorrow!! Should be released by 9/10am. I know red wings vs preds will be their first game on october 12th. So expect Game 1 of the season to be oct 12th or 13th.

Doubt it. MSG will open around the same time it did last year. They wanna get the Knicks preseason games in to rip off those STH's.

Whether the seasons starts on time or not is irrelevant. They have to make the schedule now as though it will start on time. Those games have to be scheduled in case the games are played. The arenas aren't going to keep those dates open otherwise.

WTF HOW THE HELL DID WE END UP WITH THE KINGS OPENER!! I dont want to watch their banner go up, what a slap in our face. 8 games on road to start season, and only 2 on west coast (1st 2 are la and sj)

Yeah It'll be painful to see the banner going up, even though I like the Kings.

That's complete ********. I don't want to see the Kings celebrating. Oh well, what can you do. The end of the season looks extremely nice, In the last ten games we play Carolina, Pitts twice, Montreal, Winnipeg, Columbus, Toronto twice, Buffalo, and close out against Philly.
