If Shero goes with one of those two-way centers or worthless power forward like Wilson, while Collberg, Aberg or Giuseppe are still available. I may just lose it.

Hertl I could live with since he seems to have some good offensive potential. I'd rather go with another defenseman too.

Maybe it's because I see him as more of a realistic possibility, and am now resigned to the fact we'll probably take him if available, but I've talked myself into Wilson a bit.

I mean, he did score 7 goals and 13 points in 13 playoffs games -- J.T. Miller had 2 goals and 10 points on the same team...

I think Scott Laughton could be an interesting pick.... And in the second round if we draft a forward and is available I'd like Nieves...

Seeing the Sarnia jerseys on every website I go to make me hope the Pens next change looks something like it.

Anyone else want the Pens to get another pick or at least move up in the 2nd? Lots of quality kids left there. (moonwalks out of room)

I'll be fine with any pick as long as it's not Wilson.

I actually wouldn't mind seeing the Pens moving picks in this draft for assets that are in the NHL. I think next year is our year, and I'd sacrifice this draft to make the NHL roster next year better.

Went to the Street Hockey game (I work a block away) and snapped some pictures

Yakupov and Grigorenko (I think?)

Yakupov not happy with the Mylec stick

Wide shot

Those mylecs blow haha. Get all warped and bendy in the heat.

I played on an actual dek and used composites. Street kinda blows, I used crap wood ones when I did that.

My favorite sticks back in the day for dek hockey were those black Koho Revolutions with the abs blade with the gold lettering.

It would be kind of fun to draft Wilson, if only to see this place have a Morrow-esque, or better yet Harrington-esque draft day meltdown.

Those were in deed the best, did you heat them up and curve the blade? I use to do it and the stick was awesome. Looked like Jagr's from back in the day

Everyone used them it seemed...

I used the Jofa IW (illegal wedge). It had a ridiculous curve and weighed 45 lbs, but I didn't know that until composites came out, see.

I believe the term that you're going for is "Goligoski-esque."

That's not what I meant....ass, haha

Just saying the different sticks I used for dek and street and I only said actual dek because the paper said that's what was constructed....but its just the street.

I did. I used to spend all the money I'd earn on sticks, and tinker around with stuff on them. My dad always wondered where his sandpaper would go. Though it's funny you mention doing so because it was in dek hockey where I became meticulous about my sticks, and customizing them. I never bought a stick off a rack all the years I played hockey and kept it the way it was.

Nothing made me shoot harder, but I thought it did, which is considered a battle won, I guess.

I thought I was the coolest when I bought the Mylec "aluminum" shaft. That thing was ****in steel...not aluminum. I pick it up today and compare it to my Ultra Lites and stuff...that thing is easily triple the weight.

I've been cleaning out my parents garage because my dad is moving out of the house, and I have every single stick I've ever owned. Even the broken ones. You want to talk about flashbacks and memories. 3 nights ago I seriously picked up every single one of them and stick handled a ball. Pretty awesome experience.

Damn street hockey pansies... why don't you lace em up and play a real sport? Who do think you are Alex Burrows?

Draft a goalie

We really need a good prospect or two that we can groom, if one of the big three goalies is available in the 2nd round, do you think we should draft one of them? maybe Oscar Dansk? I really hope we do draft a goalie in the 2nd, 3rd or 4th round, what do you guys think?

thats pretty much what i was thinking aswell, i doubt we could get one of the better goalies with our 2nd, but we could trade up in the 2nd or like u said pick a goalie in 3rd or 4th round

If Subban is available for our 2nd round pick we better take him, imo...

I could see Shero drafting a goalie with the 3rd/4th and throwing a 6th at a long shot goalie.

I think we should draft one in the 3rd. And if he's available in the 6th, how about Houser?
