From a quick glance here is what stands out to me.

Blackhawks and Toews here for game #2 Oct 16

Canucks here Feb 9.

NYE game vs Tampa Bay.

6 game NE road trip in November

5 game roadies at the end of January, February and start of March (Feb 19 - March 12 10 of 12 on road)

Western home and homes with St. Louis, Columbus and Detroit.

Teams that do not visit MTSC this year:

Anaheim
Colorado
Dallas
Edmonton
LA
San Jose

Seems like a more reasonable schedule to me compared to last year. Do you guys like the 7 pm home start times?

I'm trying to not get excited by this schedule.

The huge possibility of a work-stoppage means that this schedule release is somewhat meaningless... if we'll only see a portion of these games actually played out.

That 6 game road trip in November will be a big indication of how this team will do this season.

Cause that's how the schedule works. There are 3 teams from the opposite conference that you play twice that change each year. Last season it was the Coyotes, Minnesota, and can't remember the third. We are just taking atlanta's position in the schedule.

The exception is the 6 Canadian teams who's extra 3 games are always the 3 Canadian teams in the other conference. Again treating Winnipeg as if it's Atlanta.

Woops sorry my mistake. Meant to say against the Leafs. Thought after last year the would continue the tradition against Toronto. I believe the Marlies and Moose had one (could be wrong here).

The 9 pm local start time on Feb 9th against the Canucks - is the late start time because of Hockey Day in Canada?

This has to be a mistake doesn't it? I like late starts, but I have never seen an NHL game start at 9 pm local time

The Moose did have an NYE tradition, but the opponent was never always the same. It actually was the Chicago Wolves more than anyone else that I can recall, ironically. I also remember an NYE game against the Texas Stars.

The late start against the Canucks must be for CBC. The other Canadian teams in the West are playing in Philly (EDM@PHI, 2pm CT), Calgary is in Ottawa, Toronto is playing Montreal. So if that is Hockey Day in Canada, we'll be represented against a Canadian team, at least.

Wouldn't want to be working security for that Canucks game. Half the crowd will be 6 or 7 beers deep before the doors open.

Decemebr 26th, Winnipeg at Edmonton.

Assuming I can get tickets, that should be a hell of a fun game.

God I hope not. I've been getting a good feeling of late as it seems that every article I read points in the direction of hope that no time will be missed. There likely is just as many articles saying time will be missed, but I ignore those.

Also of note the season start October 11, a week later than last year (almost - Oct. 6). Maybe pushed back a few more days just in case? Pure speculation on that though.

I'm sure it's not a msitake. It's hockey day in Canada. There's an afternoon Edmonton game. Then games in Montreal and Ottawa. To have a triple header they need a late start and a winnipeg late start makes more sense than Ottawa or Montreal.

Good to know. Thanks. Never saw a Moose NYE game, but last year vs. the Leafs was one of the best games of the year to be at.

Tue, 16 Oct 2012 Blackhawks Jets 7:00 PM
Sat, 27 Oct 2012 Red Wings Jets 6:00 PM
Tue, 6 Nov 2012 Predators Jets 7:00 PM
Tue, 13 Nov 2012 Devils Jets 7:00 PM
Thu, 29 Nov 2012 Maple Leafs Jets 7:00 PM
Wed, 5 Dec 2012 Bruins Jets 7:00 PM
Sat, 15 Dec 2012 Penguins Jets 6:00 PM

Drew gives his analysis of the schedule.

Which game are you most looking forward to? Which team are you most disappointed won't be visiting the city?

Looks like the longest home stand this year is 5 games in January.
Least season we had both 6 games and 8 games

Hopefully the team can find some more consistency with a more regular home/away schedule

thats what i was thinking too....that game vs Chicago aka Toews home coming might not even happen which would suck
