I personally think it's great this Rangers Team witnesses the banner go up. It's the perfect 'this could be us' scenario that could be another motivating factor to win it all... I also think the schedule caters to the rangers much better than last year...

Is it me or is there only two home and home series this year?? One with the Capitals and the other with the Maple Leafs... that seems very odd since I didn't notice any home and home series with Pens Islanders Devils or Flyers??

The NHL probably already has a lockout schedule sitting in a computer at the NHL offices.

So they already know when it's going to end? If the PA got a hold of that...

Didn't we have to watch the Penguins' banner go up a few seasons ago? I can't remember because I made sure to tune in late. I was watching the game but I can't remember if it was a Rangers' game.

Really hard to get mad about an NHL schedule, but I really don't like this schedule at all. Longest home stand 4, opening with LA on a Friday night, 2 full weeks off. Dallas, LA and Colorado are the teams from the West we play twice.

The end of the season seems pretty easy though.

Another banner night, shocker...

This schedule is definitely subject to severe change though, with the lockout and perhaps realignment being discussed in the new CBA

Realignment wouldn't happen until '13-'14 at the earliest.

I hate that, too. Flyers are on marathon sunday, stupid to have a home game that day. Fortunately, one of the guys who buys from me likes weekend games and isn't into football.

Great the NHL screws us again in March, giving us 15 games in 30 days, after playing 13 games in February. Tiring us out for the playoffs, again.

I miss the old days when the Rangers played more games than everyone else in the first half and then less in the 2nd half. Now it seems like the NHL tries to shove as many games as they can in March.

I think it's better that the Rangers have to watch another banner ceremony. Maybe this can motivate them more.

It sucks as fan to have to watch this, but I think it's good for the team.
