A fun Turkey day idea...

From the Kings board, and some linked articles, Cechmanek isn't playing real well this year. Even some LA newspapers have called for Cristobal Huet to start more games.

Assuming two things:

1.) Cechmanek, a notorious slow starter, continues to play below expectations into January.

2.) Noronen takes the bull-by-the-horns and becomes the #1 goalie.

What does everyone think about sending Biron to LA for Tim Gleason?

The Kings already have Modry, Miller, Norstrom, Visnovsky, Corvo, and Kuznetsov. And they have Grebeshkov and Zizka in the pipeline. So it wouldn't be moving a player at a weak position for the Kings.

The Kings' system is weak at the goaltender position, as I don't see any of their prospects as capable of playing in the NHL.

Opinions?

I doubt Dave Taylor wants to have two pseudo #1 goalies.

I think the more likely deal in that case would be Cechmanek for Biron.

Eh, I'm not a big fan of a lanky goalie with crappy leg reflexes. Cechmanek doesn't seem steady enough for me.

Potentially. I don't see many other places to trade a goaltender. Chicago? Edmonton? Regardless, the return for Biron or Noronen, if we trade either, won't be huge.
