You and I got seasons around the same time.. have they ever had home game stretches like that in the spring? Maybe 2010.. but thats all I can remember.

2010 was still shiny and new to me since 09 was my first year. I didn't really notice/mind the long stretches until last year, but this year is looking similar.

At Philly, NJ and home and home with MTL to start.

On Long Island two days before my birthday, and then the Rags come to Boston on my birthday. Hopefully I can make a trip out of that

After careful game by game schedule analysis....I'm forecasting an 82-0 record

Oh wow, both games in Pittsburgh are the 2nd half of a back to back. What a shocker.

And 3/4 against NYR are 2nd half of back to back...the one that isn't is day after Thanksgiving, where there will be a food coma in play.

Is there ever a game against NYR which isn't part of back-to-back games?

Look at the Canucks schedule ... they always have at least 3 consecutive road or home games. Would like to have that as well.

But I'm quite happy with this year's schedule. We will be quite busy at the beginning of the season and thus be able to rest at the end. No more 23 games in 40 days to end the regular season.

There's a St Patrick's Day game in Pittsburgh. At 7:30.

Can you IMAGINE a 7:30 PM St Patrick's Day game in Boston? On a SUNDAY?

I've been a fan for many years, and I can say without hyperbole that this is the worst schedule in the history of organized sport.

There are 13 freaking home games in a 34 day span from 11/23 to 12/26! One third of the home schedule is in 1/6th of the season! It's insanely idiotic. Spread the games out! I like people in my section, but jeez, there are limits.

Oh look: There are 4 1PM games at home in March. There are 4 losses right there. Tampa game is first game back after long road trip AND a Saturday matinee. Pencil in 8 goals for Stamkos in that one.

And God forbid they play at the Islanders on a weekend so we the Bruins fan public can help them fill the building. It's much better to do it on a Tuesday or Wednesday so no one will show up.

Leafs vs. Bruins on my birthday. 1 PM start. Yippee? Had a matinee game last year too. At least it actually gives me a reason to day drink.

I would like to thank the NHL for giving the Bruins Saturday 11/3 off, so that I can completely focus on my wedding

Do it. You'll love it.

I might go there again. Not sure if it'll be for the Bruins game or another game.

I'm really thinking about it. A friend of mine's parents have season tickets there, so if I could convince her to meet me it would be an even more awesome trip.

And it's President's Day weekend.

Looks like they've got a tough patch there at the end of Feb/start of March. 12 of 17 on the road including a 7 game road trip.

That sounds like a mighty enticing trip. Was supposed to go to the country music festival in June 2011 (we all know what happened then) so it would be nice to get to the city we researched so much about.

Chicago on Presidents Days weekend looks enticing too...

Although Chicago in February could be mighty cold.

Got some tough games, Rangers/Pens, Flyers/Flyers, Blackhawks/Preds, etc., but I'm pretty satisfied with the opener, and even more satisfied with the season opener.
