how would your country's rosters change???

I have seen threads showing what a likely 2014 roster for US, Canada, Sweden, etc might look like on the big ice, but lets imagine if it was being held in North America and on the smaller ice...how would you want that team built, and would it differ much from the team you sent to Sochi???

I dnt think it will matter, because the biggest names will be on Canadas, Sweden, The US etc roster.

pretty odd since everytime I see a post about a 2014 team, it usually has comments of said player not going to make it because of the bigger ice factor...

I dont buy it at all...

there are teams that most certainly would throw 2 different types of clubs out there depending on the ice size, and probably only the US and Canada has enough depth or differential in players size to really do this....

I agree with you. After watching the worlds, I'm not sure guys like Getzlaf and Perry belong on big ice but they would be shoe-ins to me again on small ice. There's no way a guy like Lucic will be considered for Sochi but he would be in North America. Speed kills on big ice.

i think Nikitin will not make team Russia in Sochi but if these games would be on NHL rinks then he would.

Don't forget the Worlds are nothing like the Olympics! Canada will have their best there and will be much more commited than they are after a long season and playoff dissapointments. The Worlds is like the Stanley Cup of Europeans!!

Players like Crosby, Stamkos, Price ect.. will make a world of difference.

That would be terrible. Canada vs Russia gold medal game at the Olympics is long over due... I have a great feeling it will happen.

There's no other country than Canada that I would like to see win Gold.

Canada vs Russia is the best rivalry in intl hockey, IMO.

If Price is our #1 goalie in Sochi we are in trouble.
