They pretty much nailed it this year. The Norris should have went to Weber IMO, but Karlsson is worthy too because he put up insane point totals we don't see very often from a D-man anymore.

Lombardi must really be hated if he couldn't even get a single third place vote.

Armstrong winning it is stupid, its not like he made a bunch of moves that made the Blues way better. How about the Kings GM? They actually won something.

i just assumed the kings bro won it. it was the only logical choice.

Though, are they voted on before the playoffs? If so, that makes a lot more sense.

Still though, no votes and even before the playoffs, everyone liked what he did bringing in Richards and Carter. Also, the coaching move had already payed off by then as well.

The awards are all regular season only, but still, what did Armstrong really do other than firing Payne and bringing in Hitch?

Who thought the Blues would win the West?
Who thought the Kings will suck this much in the RS?

Why should the Kings GM win this RS Trophy again?

GM of the year should be a guy that makes moves that help his team win. The Blues added little if anything last year. It was primarily the same roster that just played better/stayed healthier.

Someone's bitter his absurd trades got (rightfully) laughed down.

You suck at evaluating talent and suck at judging what is considered fair trades by today's GMs.

hahahahahahah

you downgrade everything anyone on the Islanders did in my proposal, and all you have done is make excuses for Pat Kane who plays on a team with Hossa, Toews, Sharp, Bolland, Keith, etc... The guy had 66 points on a top 6 team in scoring....he simply is not the player he was 2 years ago.

You are a blind homer and you have proven it. you think I am a Isles fan over a Hawks fan because I know the common sense involved with moving a star like Kane...it is only going to be for younger players/prospects/and picks...not star players in return.

Anyone that says "unless Tavares comes back in the trade" knows nothing about hockey and how it all works. Centers are worth twice as much as forwards, not a single chance in hell Tavares would ever be moved for Kane...it is beyond dumb and idiotic to suggest this. thats like saying move Toews for Giroux...it simply wont happen. Centers are rare to find and their value is through the roof, anyone who follows the game knows that noone is going to willingly part ways with a top center for a forward...simply dumb.

the Isles proposal is the best the Hawks would likely get for Kane...anyone thinking some "star" player is going to come back in the deal has their head planted up their....

Franchise center that you will win with. amazing ability, passion, and physical strength, kid is a gem....not my words entirely....

anyone that thinks this kid isnt worth a package trade for Kane is ****ing insane....

Pat Kane - #1 overall pick, Stanley Cup winning goal, over ppg average in playoffs, just 23 years old.

.
not arguing any of what you put about Kane, what does that have to do with a trade for Kane?

How I imagine the thought processes of the many foolish people on this board who value untested prospects over established stars.

I agree 1000%

But at some point, Kane was a prospect who was not a unanimous #1 overall pick..

The Hawks had to go by faith and scouting in regards to their hopes of a 5'10 170lb winger at #1 overall....it paid off...

The same applies for Galchenyuk.....a top 4 pick, who has the body, skill, and ability to be a top 10 center in the league...the team that drafts him is a team that gets a supreme talent like Kane...

You have to take a chance and hope these highend kids pay off.

Galchenyuk is the entire part of the trade, not sure how to make this any clearer....he is the entire purpose of trading Kane, Hamonic, Okposo, and El Nino are just gravy as they add depth and production to this team this year..

as for over valuing prospects, who is exactly a prospect here? Okposo is a proven pro who had only 20 less points then Kane....

Hamonic played 2 seasons in the NHl, and is not a prospect. El Nino played an entire year this season in the NHL, no longer a prospect... Nino wishes he didnt play this season, but he isnt a prospect anymore despite the nightmare...

You couldnt convince many people to throw Nino in any deal with Kane last year, but now according to some of you, the 20 year old top 5 pick is a bust already....I would love to get this kid as well and put him between Hossa and Sharp and see what he can do...

I dont see many prospects here, just a top 4 pick that has as many skills as Kane did in the OHL....no over valuing much here at all

or guys who play okay getting a ton of ice time on bad teams and assume they'll plug right into our lineup.
