idk about that... we know he wants out, but howson can't just take a deal on him. nash is the face of the franchise and the franchise can't afford a rebuild with no star. if they don't get a star for him the whole club could fall under. (forbes ranked them #28 in profitability) if anything nash is going to play like crap or violate his terms in every way possible to bait a move.

or less likely - - he's going to request to be taken off the market. i'm sure the guy doesn't like any of this.

...you guys are killing me with that mess avatar. we lost lol.

This is what I'm feeling. I don't think he gets moved. Howson wants (what he thinks is reciprocal value), and no interested team is willing to give too much with his atrocious cap hit.

Pipe Dream, but it's fun anyway:

Offer for Nash and the Clb 2nd round pick

Dubinsky, Thomas, McIlrath and the NYR 1st in 2012

AT THE SAME TIME

Offer for Ryan and the rights to Schultz

Staal, AA, Fogarty, a 2nd rounder in 2012 and conditional NYR 2nd rounder in 2013 (conditioning being Schultz signs)

We add 3.7 million in salary.

We lose some assets in terms of prospects and 1st & 2nd rounders, but we still remain a very young team and retain Miller, get Schultz and a 2nd in 2012.

Again, pipe dream, but so what.

That sounds like one of those great NHL 12 trades some of us' do in our basement lol. I mean, I would not be extremely opposed to that, but that would never happen , at least tomorrow it wont. But I love the way your thinking lol.

nash's agent is in a meeting with howson now, howson is having a press conference at 5, tomorrow is the draft. so with those 3 reasons people would be surprised if nash isnt gone by the end of tomorrow

No way the Flyers could actually have went for Nash right?

Does that team really need more scoring?

Did you see that on Twitter too? Don't think it's true. Haven't seen anything about it on the Flyers board nor anything from beat reporters.

@SportsnetSpec: Bobby Ryan's availability will hurt Howson. Another good, young, big winger. Not as good as Nash, but close. Look great with E.Staal.

I'm not sure -- I heard indirectly on social media that the Flyers had scheduled a last minute press conference at 5.

Dont want Nash on the Flyers but at least we wont have to hear about this ******** anymore.

Really dont understand the flyers. They are all kinds of stupid. They need defense in the worst way. Didnt they learn anything from the Pens series...guess not

If Nash was actually to hurt their team and make them worse going into next season, than the Flyers getting him would be exactly what we want. That is of course if it really does make the team who trades for him worse.

I'm sure though that they could just sign some D from free agency. Its not like the best D available after Suter is Andy Sutton. There are players to be had.

No, of course not. Sutton re-signed. Now it's Staios.

Depends on what they give up, if a trade for Nash guts the Flyers I will be happy.
