That player has to be Dumba or Reinhart.

Would love to get Reinhart somehow, but I'd avoid Dumba. Just seems so small to play as physical a game that he does. Could see a long list of injuries pile up in his career.

I'll take Dumba any day of the week.

LOL -- yeah, they drafted him a couple of years ago and have been trying to get him to report since.

But, while it's not an "always" rule, I think most players coming out of junior are more ready to deal with the NHL (in terms of travelling, multiple games per week, and length of the schedule).

I just don't see that honestly. He is nearly the same exact size as Niklas Kronwall and his hits are nearly identical in that they are typically open ice "Gotcha" type hits.

Honestly, guys who hit aren't usually the ones that get the injuries.... the guys that get hit usually have a lot more problems.

I'm on record saying that Dumba is right there behind Murray in my mind as far as defenseman go. I love Reinhart as well, but have just fallen in love with Dumba's "It" factor.

Craig Button picked Wilson at #15 for Ottawa "much to the chagrin of the Philadelphia Flyers"

(Not, apparently, to HF fans of the Philadelphia Flyers)

EDIT:

And then Button took Henrik Samuelsson for us at 20--over Koekkoek, Finn, Hertl, etc.

Thoughts?

Mentioned him a couple days ago. I like him.

He's a guy that I thought would be a second rounder, but it seems like a guy on the rise. Headed to BC next year, but Moncton (QMJHL) is a possibility.

Still very high on koekkoek, though I think Dmen will go very fast before us, with that being said we could take yet another forward and maybe even a center in hertl, trade pick for more picks next year, trade this pick for an NHL player with a package of JVR and company, or move up which seems the least likely to me, I'm hoping we keep it simple and keep the current team in place unless JVR can be packaged with the pick for damn good defencemen, yandle has come up recently, I doubt coyotes do this but would JVR, MAB, Cousins and first get it done? Or maybe less?

I hated his fathers guts when he played. I dont know how I would feel if we drafted his kid.

If they're targeting anyone at 6th it must be Reinhart/Dumba with outside chance of Rielly. They're the only ones I've seen going that high other than Ryan Murray. I'd take Dumba every day of the week and twice on Sundays. Seen him play against the Royals several times this year, kids really dynamic. Right-handed, too. Kinda boom-bust but he's a scrappy guy, not going to take anything for granted. If there is an "it-factor", the Claude Giroux/Mike Richards oomph, this kid has it.

I'd still take either Lindholm/Koekkoek/Finn/Pouliot with this pick. Maybe Tom Wilson, just 'cause theres a chance he'll be a solid physical winger like Clutterbuck (and that's without offensive upside).

I hope we can make a trade and get him. It would make my day. Dumba and Reinhart I would love as well. Just TT is my first choice.

Also I hate hockeybuzz and that woman on the side who's video starts playing when you visit that site! I don't care about the god damn Vermont Catamounts!

I've heard now twice this morning (sportsnet- Furyk and Mike Daly) that the Flyers are very high on Subban and are toying with taking him. The sportsnet guys actually said that they think the Flyers SHOULD take him and Daly said he think they WILL.

I doubt Reinhart is available. It'd be great if he were, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
