So, he wants to coast, and then pout when someone steals the puck from him?

I don't think he mentioned anything about Skinner

Grigorenko would be my pick if available.

More likely Faksa though.

i think the forwards they want the most will be gone, and they will take reinhart over the other dmen.

If all of the forwards are gone, and Dumba is left, Dumba is a no brainer to take.

Then figure if you want to keep Faulk or Murphy at that point.

I'd be happy if it ends up that way. If both he and Dumoulin (not a given) pan out, it would be a couple of big, smart, shutdown type guys. With Faulk, McBain, Murphy..that's a darn good core in a few years (not to mention Levi, Alt, Biega, Lowe). Not all of them will work out, but some of them probably will.

Craig Button was hyping up Reinhart in a major way earlier. He called him "the next Shea Weber" and even proposed that Edmonton should take him #1 overall.

The reason I like Reinhart, is that he really isn't something we have in the pipelines. Murphy is a smooth skating, offensive guy. McBain is an offensive guy. Faulk is a tweener...has the potential to be decent both offensively and defensively, but by no means an offensive defenseman and by no means a shutdown guy. Dumoulin is big, smart, positionally sound guy..his style almost reminds me of Marc Staal.

Reinhart seems more Ryan Suter type to me. Big, but not overly physical. Solid puck mover, good skater, etc...just all around solid.

For years the Canes have been needing a "shutdown" pairing. Down the road, I could see Rienhart and Dumoulin filling that need.

EDIT: and hopefully guys like Lowe and Alt can fill he physical, nasty role that the team also needs. Yes, high hopes, but one can dream.

Dumba would bring a physical edge we don't have either though.

Reinhart would be really good too. But I would lean more towards Dumba if he was avail and all of the forward prospects was gone.

If we was to end up with Reinhart or Dumba, I say shop McBain.

I agree that Dumba would bring a physical edge we dont' have. I'd just prefer Reinhart over Dumba.

Reinhart is being projected to go 4th.

If he is avail, yeah, but Dumba is a PK Subban.

So, what do we need more... PK Subban or Weber?

Who knows where these guys will go. Cam Fowler was projected to go 3rd. Gormley as projected to go in 4 or 5. I'd say this year is more uncertain than most so while Reinhart may be projected to go 4th, who knows for sure.

As for your question. Weber, without question.

Hope you are right. I have high expectations for Dumoulin...probably unfair, but higher than I have for almost any other prospect in recent years.
