The Lightning need somebody to eat minutes in the top 4. Ideally, that would either be a young physical shut down guy or a young righty PMD who can help QB the PP. Actually quite a bit out there.

Fistric + 43 for 19?

Robidas + 61 for 19?

I have to think Schenn holds more value then the 19th pick on the idea that he is only 22 and just about to enter his prime year(25-30)

An no I am not a leafs fan

I actually really like Robidas. I would be ok with that trade.

I think I would prefer Hjalmarsson though just b/c of the age thing. Trading a 1st round pick, I'd kind of want a guy who will be around for a while, but the inclusion of a draft pick helps offset that.

I'd be interested in Robidas, not Fistric. Not necessarily that deal either

He has nevertheless been a healthy scratch a few times in one of the league's worst defensive teams and carries a pretty hefty 3.6M cap hit. I honestly don't think he has much value right now and if he doesn't improve it'll plummet.

Would the ducks be interested in something around Lydman or visnovsky?

I have to believe alot of GMs will go with the theory that he is 22 and has alot of room and time to improve. I still think Schenn has a very good chance of being a very good #3 guy with the potential of a good top 2

I will go to sleep tonight praying that the 19th turns into Hammer. Would be the PERFECT trade. He is exactly what the Lightning need right now.

Well, ONE of the things we need haha.

oh no , not for the 19th, just in general. One of them would be a nice stop gap for a year

I think Dallas needs to give up a little more, like the 43rd pick instead of 61

Leafs wouldn't do this. They didn't spend 4 years developing him, only to start all over again with the 19th pick.

Yea i figured, There just isn't much out there in terms of quality d-men, I think the hjalmarsson deal might be the best out there.

Doubt Steve trades a first round pick for a veteran. He will use those picks or if he does trade them it will be for a very young player who is on the rise.

To Tampa Bay
7th Overall
Cal Clutterbuck

To Minnesota
10th overall
19th Overall
71st Overall

Tampa Bay moves up to snag a talented defenseman and gets a crasher and banger in Clutterbuck. Minnesota gets two first round draft picks; snags Maatta and whoever.
