I played it but didn't beat it. Definitely scarier than the first one.
honestly, i never played the first one.
i just got the 2nd one, mainly because one of my favorite bands did the theme/song they used to promote it, so i figured it must be good
but im glad i picked it up the other day, because im loving it. i'd highly recommend it, if anyone's into that kind of thing. it's a survivalist style 3rd person shooter, similar to bioshock, but in space, a lot creepier, and a lot harder to beat... and the graphics and design elements are fantastic.
****ing awesome, and I hope it's directed, written and produced by Kojima... even though I feel it should of ended at MGS4. Wouldn't doubt if MGS5 comes out between Late Fall 2013 and Summer 2014 (MGS4 came out June 12th, 2008). At least he really leaves the years between each game to really help breathe out the series (unlike some games that come out with a new one every year or every other year).
So 3 to 4 years minimum, but in this case, might be 6 years.
Not really, I'm pretty ******* sure he basically had everything planned out for MGS1 to 4, or a general idea.
I'm almost positive that sometime after 2 (during the making of 3, or, possibly after 3) he sat down and said "Now how do I link this **** together..." I'll give him credit, he managed to do it and actually explained the mess that was MGS2's storyline.
Whenever I replay MGS1, I'm amazed at how the story used to be so simple.
EDIT: How in the world is Snake still alive anyway?
They should concentrate on developing more games rather than making a new system. The game selection for 3DS is putrid. The same can be said for the Vita, which is ashame, because it's a badass system.
