Yes, but no one expected this of pacioretty, I remember that everyone thought he'd be a great 20-20 or 25-25 guy not a 35+ goal scoring power forward. This is a guy who is gonna be a big part of our organization for the next 10-15 years

Edmonton has a big hole on defense and Columbus has been burnt by Russians so it could happen. The gap from #1 to #5-6 picks are pretty close together so as Bergevin said the top 5 could go abour 20 different ways.

Yakupov Forsberg Galcheyuk Murray Dumba Reinhart on most lists are close together and a lot of teams have Teravainen Reilly or Trouba in that group at the top.

Yakupov is the clear cut #1 but there is not a big gap from #1 to #6 or 7 unlike years like 2006, 2005 or 2008.

Forsberg, in a few years he'll be another big winger to couple with patches

Still wouldn't be too upset, but I think were going with a forward tonight

That's the worst-case scenario right there. But after looking at a few videos of earthquakes and tsunamis, I think I could eventually deal with it...

If they want to add Quebec talent this is a good draft to do it. Not in the top 3 rounds but in rounds 4-7 with guys like Mallet Paquette Fournier Tremblay Brassard or Roy.

I think that's a longshot...it wouldn't be the ideal scenario but still adding a strong asset. Before that, these three things would ahve to happen...

1-Glacheyuk would have to be off the board
2-Yakupov would ahve to be off the board
3-They tried to trade down 2-3 spots to get Teravainen but didn't get good offers

Holy ****! What he went through to get here is impressive.
It's an amazing piece. Beautifully produced. You can't help pulling for the guy after watching it.

In the TSN draft preview I got the sense the Oilers want Reinheart...

I hope we capilalize on that and move up to take Yakupov!

While a lot has changed in the Canadiens’ front office since the spring, one thing remains the same: the team’s policy of drafting the best player available.

“I don’t care about position,” stressed Bergevin, who won the Cup as director of player personnel with the Blackhawks in 2010. “Look at Vancouver; if you have two good goalies like Vancouver has, that’s a nice problem to have. If you have three great centermen or six great defensemen, those are nice problems to have.”

If Murray is available at #3 dont be surprised when they pick him.

This guy... http://www.hockeysfuture.com/prospects/justin_schultz/

Rumours are that the Oilers are going to make a big push for him. With him, their "hole" on the blue line would shrink quite a bit.

I hope not. If they do select him, I assume they will trade a younger D like Beaulieu and try to get an impact forward. Well I would hope

One thing is for sure Montreal will draft Yakopov or Murray or Forsberg or Gall or Grigorenko or ...?

Doesn't really matter which at the end of the day. They're ALL great prospects and will add to the Habs growing cupboard of fantastic, young prospects. The future looks bright! Can't wait for tonight!

In Timmins I Trust

But it'd be nice if you arranged a clever trade, Bergy.

Even with Murray I would be happy. Where would he be on our Depth Chart?

That's easy.

Fail for Nail!
Fail for Mikhail
Gally is the second coming. A perfect combination of Jesus and Fergy
We love Murray
Forsberg is the obvious choice
Trade down and draft TT
In Timmins we trust
You're stupid, no you're stupid
Are we there yet?

And after all that Timmins will pick Reinhart

I am hoping for #1 center with our 3rd overall pick, either Galchenyuk or Teravainen. We need frachise center, have top pairing dmen now. In Subban, Markov maybe even Beaulieu in near future. The 33 pick and 47th package together for late 1st if somebody we have ranked high slides. Maybe even add a player to move up mid 1st for Laughton. If we can't get Laughton Sutter with our 63rd pick and Fournier in 4th round and Jake Paterson 5th round and Mallet in 6th round. I think Sutter is fiesty third line character center, Fournier vastly under rated and Paterson end up better NHLer than Subban. Mallet something different about him, odd to see a player blossom like that. It's a shot in the dark but maybe something holding him back previous years. At worse can use him as an enforcer.

That's my picks...would you be happy if those players are chosen by Timmins?
