How i see today playing out arranged in order of likeliness

Scenario 1 (the most likely still). EDM takes yakupov CBJ takes Murray and are delighted Montreal takes Galchenyuk, everyone walks away happy, Based on aaron portzline, and the comments about Murray.

Scenario 2. EDM takes murray Cbj takes yakupov Montreal takes galchenyuk, This also opens the door for a Nash trade to take place

Scenario 3. EDM takes Murray, CBJ skips over Yakupov and instead grabs galchenyuk, Montreal takes Yakupov and are happy as a pig in **** as he slots in perfectly with plekanec and gionta next year.

Scenaro 4. EDM takes Yak CBJ takes galy, (id be furious about this but then you'll likely see some movement from Montreal down to five or 6 to grab teravainen.)

Needless to say today has been nothing but mayhem

In scenario 4, why not grab Forsberg?

If Edmonton picks Yakupov, I think Columbus would be crazy not to pick Murray...

He could play with Johnson or Wiz and learn. They have to build from the defense. After that trade Nash for help on offense.

I guess it would make sense if we were to move Beaulieu and another asset for Ryan but it would not allow us to add a young future top 2 center.

If Murray is available, they should draft him. The kid is already ahead of Tinordi and Beaulieu. Galchenyuk would be great, but I'd have a hard time passing up on Murray.

If we draft Murray, Bergy should hopefully be trading with someone for a forward, the last thing we can have happen is turn into the predators, think about it were only missing one more piece,

Subban - Murray
Tinordi-Beaulieu
Emelin-Gorges

(That looks god like btw)

Price

Weber-Suter
Hamhuis-Blum

Rinne

That is kinda my thinking too..

My heart wants a high-skilled forward, but, logically... drafting a stud D-man will probably be more beneficial to winning.

I wouldn't be mad if they did draft him, but I would also hope they would move someone else in order to get a little more punch offensively cause we lack big time

I feel the same way, sooner or later we have to parlay the pieces on defense for some offensive punch.

We will have two 2nd round picks including one at 33.. We could pickup 2 good offensive prospects with those for sure. #33 is basically like a late 1st rounder..

Drafting Murray is OK with me because defense win championship. But we neeed to get into the 1st found to get a good offensive forward because we are really lacking on offense.

Francois Gagnon said on team 990 this morning that some NHL teams believe Grigorenko will slip to the 2nd round...lol.. This is getting ridiculous and is incredibly hard to believe he slips that far down, to me anyways.

If this is the case I hope Montreal takes him assuming they take Gally too. We'd be worry free at center for awhile.

Maybe, draft murray at #3, and trade our 2nd round picks for a mid 1st rounder and go for a forward? (Faksa or something..?)

To me... this would be a HOME-RUN draft if we could pull something like that off.

you also need to score.

I say pick up the best forward possible with #3, than you can use the 2nds to grab any dman or fwd who slipped down

We already have a very good stable of young defensemen, plus their is a lot of depth on defense so we can always get d-men in the 2nd round like Matheson Thrower Schmaltz etc

If Yakupov and Galchenyuk are not available at #3 we have to take Murray.

This would end up being a great draft for the Habs, possibly their best ever if he slides to us in the 2nd round
