If the reports out of Columbus from Aaron portzline are correct, expect the unexpected. If the oilers pick Murray, then columbus might trade pick or draft galchenyuk which would leave yakupov available at 3. However I have the feeling that Montreal might pass on yakupov and opt to trade the pick. What a series of events that would be...

Subbanged had it lined out pretty good..

If Yak goes 1, Murray goes 2, we take Gally 3.
If Murray goes 1, Gally goes 2, we take Yak.
If Murray goes 1 and Yak goes 3, we take Gally.
If Yak and Gally go 1,2, the Habs trade down a few spots (to 6th or 7th) and take Teravainen. They then use 2 of their 2nd rounders to move in late in the draft to take either Grigorenko if he slips far or to jump and get Matteau as rumored.

FML.

If this team reaches on Teravainen at 3rd like Leroux is convinced it will happen...unreal. Just unreal.

Yakupov, Galchenyuk, Forsberg.

At least one and possibly two of these guys will be available at #3. Habs should take one of them imo.

English translation would greatly be appreciated. Thanks to anyone who does so!

I dont mind T.T. at all. I wouldnt reach at 3 for him, however. I like the idea of getting one of the youngest players in the draft, he has the most room to grow, his developmental curve is on a tremendous spike and he is said to be really, really talented.

Its the perfect back-up plan if Gally or Yakupov is gone. I like Forsberg, but Im not in love with him.

What do we know about T.T ? He's far from NHL ready right?

Edit: If their plan is to take T.T they should trade down no?

Yup. Yakupov, Galchenyuk, Teravainen is the perfect draft order for this team.

I'm going to be drinking Jagr bombs (that's drinking Jaegrmeister while wearing a mullet wig) and tons of beer at my place with many other Hab fans in the neighborhood, you should roll out to Hammonds Plains. I have a speed bag and heavy bag if we get Murray

Teuvo Teravainen

Just practicing spelling that name. Here is a youtube of this geeky little Finn! He looks like he's being interviewed for a high school entrance exam. He's the guy I want hopefully we can trade down & get him, if not take him at #3!!!!

yeah it just seems to make the most sense to me to assume this is the route their going to take

If Timmins thinks T.T is the BPA at #3, go for it.

From the highlights I've seen, he seems to have a really high hockey sense and IQ, super super slick player.

He's as tall as Giroux, Crosby, so size shouldn't be an issue.

T.T probably has a higher upside than Forsberg, offensively speaking.

Probably 2, if not 3 years away for sure.

Uuuuuggggh.

They better trade down if he's their guy. At #3 it's just poor value.

If they want Teravainen at #3 they would probably trade down to #5 or 6 and take him there.

#3 for Schenn and #5(Teravainen)

T.T. is incredibly skilled. He has got a tremendous release, soft slippery hands, he does bull his way through traffic but splices his way through with quickness, is a smart player who reads the situation and has great vision. He is a late riser as one of the youngest players in the draft. Came into the Finnish Elite League play-offs and was one of his teams leading scorers. Needs time to put muscle on his frame, might grow an inch or two because he is younger than most eligible prospects this year.

He will spend next year or two in Finland, has to fulfill military obligations in Finland. Would probably need a year in the AHL after that. 2-3 years before he comes in, but you might have the most skilled player in the draft if his developmental curve holds shape.

I can't see Timmins drafting T.T ahead of Galchenyuk though......

Can he do that...???

I don't know enough about Teurovanian (including how to spell his name properly) to know if this would be the right choice or not, but if Timmins thinks he's a better pick than one of Yakupov, Galchenyuk and Forsberg, he must be one helluva hockey player, or at least he better be.

I won't pretend to know what's going to happen, but the "Edmonton is going to take Ryan Murray" chatter is loud...

Haha, I prefer not to destroy another person house. Honestly, I wouldve probably made the trip up if I hadnt already made draft plans tonight.
