...but a year after, I don't think anyone would have suggested that his value was a 3rd rounder, let alone a 5th or a 7th.

That's what Lindback got? Holy Jumpin. Talk about a lot for nothing.

I would think the picks they're getting are going to be used in a trade to a team that didn't have much of an interest in Bob.

Great job by Paul Holmgren.

Scott Howson is an embarrassment. I feel bad for Columbus fans. What a stretch of horrible management they've had to put up with.

Steve Mason has only 2 years of a winning record while Bobrvosky has 2 years. If anyone thinks that he is bad then they gotta lay of the crack. He is 23 with a 42 23 10 record, 2.73 GAA and .909%

Good trade for Columbus. Don't know how it benefits Flyers though. Hopefully this gets the ball rolling.

I guess that takes out any Ottawa goalies in a trade for Nash.

I hope.

Oh lol. With the "news" that Burke is willing to part with a significant asset for Luongo my guess is that Leafs' fans are going to be surprised with what Burke ends up paying for a goaltender. Completely unproven back-ups and goaltenders that have stunk are going for good returns.

Howson is such a laughably bad GM.

The 2nd is not an insignificant asset, and Bob, without the bonus cushion, was an expensive backup ($1.75 million cap hit)

True, but Mason's rookie year was more dominant than Bobs. Playoffs were equally as bad though. At this point, the Blue Jackets would kill to flip Mason for a 5th or a 7th, LOL.

You mean besides the picks and the cap space gained from an expensive backup goalie?

I like Bobrovsky, and I like this trade for both teams to be honest.
