Well done by Homer to get at least a 2nd for him. Also cue the bigger trade rumors, there is no way Homer holds onto that pick.

Good luck BOB!
Decent enough return...I also have a feeling Homer has something bigger in the works

Seems like a win/win.
question for Flyer's fans..
Was Bobrovsky #1 in 2010/2011 from the get go, or did an injury/trade lead to him getting 54 appearances?

Those picks might be ammunittion to move up some in the draft. If the Flyers want to move up at least ten spots without trading roster players, they have to send at least 3 picks including our first.
Something like
1st (20th)
2nd (45th)
2nd (2013)
4/5th rounders
for
8th overall (Hurricanes)
Just a guess
People are reporting we are still involved in talks with Columbus. Looks like Nash could be on his way to philly

Two mid-2nds will get you about 8-9 spots, not 12, based on previous deals.
And I doubt it is Nash--that just wouldn't make a lot of sense, given that everyone assumed Bob would be in the deal for Nash anyway.
I wonder if they aren't trying to figure out a way to swap a pick for a prospect, or perhaps work out conditions?

I'd love to see Bob succeed there. I'm not surprised in the slightest, it makes no sense to keep Bob behind Bryz...he needs starts to develop.

Leighton was supposed to start after his playoff run, but he got injured. Bob beat out Boucher for the opening night start. He was incredible in the beginning of that year.
With a little coaching the Blue Jackets could have a really good goalie.

He started opening night in Pittsburgh (and won) and ran with it from there.

Yea maybe change the 4/5th rounder to a 3rd.
Also plenty of specualtion that Columbus is trying to get JVR from the Flyers, and not in a Nash deal. This could get extremely interesting.

If JVR goes to Columbus, and it isn't Nash, it has to be in a package for the 2nd overall.
I can't see Columbus dealing Johnson, which is the only other piece that holds that kind of value.

I don't think Carolina will be a target for their top pick. They're in the hunt for a lot of big names players.

Yea JJ I don't think will be dealt. He has some defensive deficiencies also which he would definitely become the new whipping boy.
If we trade JVR for the 2nd overall and draft Murray, I am partying like a mofo tonight.
45th overall and two 4th rounders. One in 2013

Rumors are that Edmonton might well take Murray at 1.

I wouldn't be surprised if Reinhart is higher than Murray on Homer's draft board. They love 'em big

I'd be shocked if we keep most of those picks. I'm positive Holmgren has a severe allergy to second rounders.

so its Bobrovsky for 2nd(45 OV), 2012 4th, 2013 4th.
I can deal with it.
2012 4th was the Islanders--so 95th overall. (Closer to a late 3rd than a mid-4th)
(Columbus does not own their original 4th, which went to Pittsburgh for Letestu)
EDIT: Maybe not. They have 2 4ths.

Yep I saw, but in the end I think they go Yakupov 1st overall.
I saw Mackenzie said they have had their meeting and they have decided who they are taking. Hopefully that info leaks later today

If that's the case, I'd accept Yakupov, lol.
