Will the KHL bankroll Lev's player salaries? Is the tax rate for hockey players similar to that in Russia? If not, how will that be solved?

Also, who will actually go to Lev's games? I can't imagine Slavia and Sparta supporters abandoning their teams.

I don't live in Prague at the moment but I have lived there and watched a lot of Slavia games. The idea of a new team in Prague just seems ridiculous on so many levels.

Lev are certainly flashing the cash in order to tempt all the Slovaks away from Slovan....

btw. I read at the Phoenix board that acquiring Michalek likely means Rozsival is not coming back. Still doesnt mean much, but it makes Rozsival to Lev rumour a bit more relevant.

Agreed completely. Far to many Slovaks and Czeks wast there talents in NA league like CHL and AHL.
And that goes for Russian Pavel Valentenko and Norwegian Mats Zuccarello too,and many other europeans.
I fail to see the reason why. The NA has lot of talent there self. Why destroying europeans youth leagues by robbing their talent pools?

Sparta Prague and HC LEV will create new common company, which will rule/develop both clubs. It is called SportovnÝ Holding Praha.

lolwut.

Slavia Praha had the existing contract with the o2 Arena, so therefore their deal should be honoured. It is nothing about "showing who's boss", but respecting good business practice.

Besides, I think playing in Sparta's rink would help Lev this year... The amount they'd have to spend on leasing the o2 Arena whilst the team is not an "established" franchise could cripple them.

Their budget is about 20 millions, if it doesn't cripple Slavia how could it possibly cripple them? Established or not, they'll have higher attendance than Slavia.

Just talked to Karol Csanyi and he has offer from Slovan, Lev and finnish 2nd league team.

Slovan is offering him spot in junior team TatranskÝ Vlci (MHL) with the possibility to play Slovakian Extraleague.

Lev is offering spot in junior team Karlovy Vary (MHL) with the possibility to play Czech extraleague.

He is currently considering his options and it looks like he will go with Lev.

Hmm. I personally doubt they offered him contract. I have nothing against him but if Slovan's management really offered him contract, they have really gone crazy

funny situation.. many people should celebrate (they have wanted Charouz to finish his Sparta mission for years), but they are crying today (because of Lev) what a paradox, what the hell fans want?
