Flyers 1st, Flyers 2nd, Jackets' 2nd... or probably Schenn straight.

I'd want Schenn. Doubt there would be a straight up swap.
Schenn + Jackets 2nd for 6th overall and Peter Holland?

Ducks would not look to trade down to the Flyers 1st. We need help now.

Wouldn't be surprised that any deal to grab the Ducks pick involved the picks just recieved from Columbus for Bobrovsky.

I think Ducks easily say no to the 1st one, and Flyers probably say no to the second.

The first isn't enough (the Flyers don't own their 2nd this year anyway). The second makes very little sense for the Flyers.

The only two possibilities I can see would be:
1) something around JVR and the 6th (rumor / speculation suggests that the Flyers covet TT, Reinhart, and Dumba, and unless something wacky happens, one of them should be there at 6).

2) a much, much bigger deal that includes multiple assets from the Flyers and both Ryan and the 6th.

Flyers only have 1 2nd. Just acquired in the Bobrovsky deal.
not sure 20 and 45 is enough to move up that far.

van Riemsdyk, Voracek, Simmonds, Schenn and Couturier would all be good additions to the Ducks squad, with some tweaking depending on who it is.

There's no way the Flyers would trade Schenn to move up into the top 10. LOL. That makes almost no sense. I get JVR and the first to move up but even then. I doubt they move into the top 10 again this year. It would have to be for defense.

For those who don't know what that says...Flyers talking to Ducks RE 6th overall pick.
Philly fans -

What would you be willing to part with for the 6th overall pick?

Maybe the Flyers read your post yesterday in the Ryan thread

Sorry, I didn't check to see if the Flyers still had their 2nd. Meszaros trade.

My point stands, it would take a lot of picks or a high profile young player to get 6th OV.

I'm curious if this is option A, B or C (the least exciting, hence the most likely)

A. Flyers want the 6th overall to package up in a deal for Nash.
B. Flyers want the 6th overall to add a prospect to make up for dealing young players for Nash
C. Flyers want the 6th overall because they really like a player expected to be available at 6

Hope to god it's C. If we flip the 6th OVR to CBJ for Nash & the 2nd OVR isn't coming back, I may break things.

Wouldn't be surprised if they're going hard after Ryan+6th overall. Heard rumblings of it yesterday and Flyers REALLY like Bobby Ryan (since '05, Clarkie wanted him bad).

Pooling assets like Voracek, JVR, mid to late firsts and 2nd rounders to grab B. Ryan like Matt Dumba would be excellent.

Not a possibility, at least I hope it isn't. Ducks have enough wingers on a team and in the organisation.

I don't think Flyers trade into the Top 6 and give up an asset to trade the pick aways along with more assets for Nash.

Maybe 6th for Read?

Of the options you laid out, it is pretty clearly C.

I think (hope) the Nash-to-Philly thing is dead, at least until the Rangers land Ryan, the Penguins ship Staal out and sign Parise, and Holmgren goes off the deep end.

If the Flyers really want Ryan + 6th, you just know either Schenn or Couturier will have to be involved.
