I've heard: JvR + read or voracek + 20th overall for Ryan and 6th overall is what is on the table
The Flyers want the 6th AND Ryan and dont want to part with Schenn do get it?
Schenn has to go the other way for that to happen.

This is exactly why I don't think Schenn is involved in a deal. I have faith Homer can make something happen without him in a deal for Ryan and the 6th overall (no Couturier either)

We need to remember that Duck fans want more then Richards and Carter brought back in trades. It just won't happen, and if it does, then it was a bad bad move by the GM who acquired him

If Homer could pull off Ryan and #6 without giving up Schenn or Couturier, then I will get back on board with whatever insanity he has in store

Indeed.

What is worrisome is how many years in a row have we been trying to get Bobby Ryan? Hopefully he isn't too great of an impulse for Homer than he would give up Schenn.

I doubt they get both Ryan and the 6th without giving up Schenn/Couturier. JvR alone wouldn't get Ryan. JvR and a first probably would do it for just Ryan. No way they would take a lesser player and a lesser draft pick so the Flyers would certainly be adding to JvR and #20 for Ryan and #6. And it wouldn't be a small throw in. Pretty sure any discussion involving Ryan AND the #6 pick will involve Schenn and Couturier. I'm not saying I would make that deal, but I think it is pretty likely that Anaheim doesn't move Ryan and the 6th without one of those two.

Jvr, read, 1, tonight's 2, and next years 2

Bobby Ryan and 6 pick tonight

I would think something around:

JVR, Voracek, Read, 1st, 2nd, 2nd

It just depends on how much Murray likes JVR/Read/Voracek.

I would REALLY hate to lose Jake, but if we could get Ryan without including Couturier/Schenn then I would be all for it.

I don't think that would be enough to move up AND get Ryan.

I don't want Voracek to go at all. The only reason he should go is if he wants too much money. His speed/grit/play making and defensive ability are off the charts.

Hey, if the Ducks' GM isn't asking for Schenn then that's his fault.

I don't know what to expect any more. This is going to be exciting, but Homer seems to know how to get full value out of his trades. I trust he will make a good move at the draft if he plans on moving up. If he doesn't make a trade I like, well then I probably will still be a die hard and root for the team, just be angry. What can ya do honestly.

I am assuming if anything with Anaheim's sixth overall happens it would happen right before the pick as I am sure Homer has someone in mind - so he would have to see if they were still available.

I think we need to consolidate all our people on offense. This is a great way to do it

I hope Schenn/Couturier is intact when this offseason is over. Unless they get over-payment/Weber/something really special. I miss Richie, Schenn looks like he could be that, and Couts looks like he could be really special. I want to move Briere to wing now and when you look past him for the future which is pretty soon Giroux Schenn Couturier has the potential to be sick. I'd give up JVR + Voracek before I gave up Schenn or Couturier. I love Jake but Schenn/Couts will be more important to the team IMO.
