And just like most (all?) no-no's, it takes some killer defensive plays.

Not that I am not jacked, but in terms of giving the pitcher ALL the credit, I am waiting until the day we see a no-no or perfect game with no ball being put into play. Then and pretty much only then can you give all the credit to the pitcher. Probably never happen since I think that means 27 K's, but point is, no-no's and perfect games especially deserve to have credit given to the entire team (Except a DH in an AL park).
The team does get plenty of credit for this. It was the team putting up 10 runs that allowed Cain to pitch with a lot more freedom and pitch for the perfect game in the first place. He knows that and everyone that watched it knows that. He also doesn't get that perfect game without some great plays by Melky, Blanco, and Arias. And no pitcher throws a perfect game without the catcher calling a perfect game.

But Cain will of course get the lion's share of the credit because it all stems from his arm and that horse deserves every bit of that credit.

I was thinking about it, I'll have to see if I know anyone who wants to go.

I'd go if I could get anyone else I know to go, but that's unlikely

I'll be there. I'll be up at Kezar on the Tuesday prior as well as the Quakes take on Seattle in the quarterfinals of the US Open Cup.

Sounders and Galaxy in one week, a great time to be a Quakes supporter.

I guess this would be a better place to post this rather that the OT thread.

60% off a two game package to the Quakes.

That's actually a great deal If I didn't have my tickets already, I'd totally do it.

Manny has requested to be released from the A's. No link yet, just heard it on KNBR though.

Also, Ralph Barbieri will be on 95.7 The Game With Tierny & Davis on Monday. He's going to talk about his future and tell his side of the story I guess.

I find it funny that The Game, who constantly rips KNBR, calling them "old and busted", saying their hosts "are old enough to collect Social Security Checks", and so forth, are now having on of those same hosts so he can now bash KNBR.

I do like The Game and listen, but they need to quit the constant KNBR hate. It's petty. Especially considering they are in no way whatsoever giving all of the Bay teams equal love. Like KNBR, they're all over the Niners and Giants jock.

Everytime I listen to the game, the topic is either something 49ers oriented, or what is going on with Tim Lincecum. It's annoying how repetitive this station (And sports talk radio in general) is. Other than the ads, I actually find the best programs on both stations are either Marty Laurie (Who can get repetitive too) or the national programs like Yahoo Sports Radio. At least they (And JT The Brick) gave the Stanley Cup Final it's due, unlike the Game was blatantly ignored it, even in the sports updates.

A's have won 5 in a row. And, yes Risky F, I know they have been against the Rockies and the Padres. Lol.

Wins are wins. Thats how the Dodgers got out to a big lead. Gotta beat the inferior teams. And right, the Padres and Rockies are waaaaaaaaaaaay inferior.

The 49ers have signed first round pick A.J. Jenkins to a four-year contract. All 2012 draft picks have now signed.

Only one more season thank Toews.

Really, Chris Lincecum? Running off to the USA Today and telling them how bad SF fans and the media are treating your son? Really? REALLY?

That's freakin' laughable, man. Bush league psych out stuff.

If Timmy ever leaves the Giants you better hope he doesn't go to the Yankees, Red Sox, Chicago ect. That media and fan base might drive you to kill fools if the tame ass fans and media of SF drive you to run your mouth with this garbage.

When you get paid that much and play that badly, you deserve all the criticism. That's hardly crucifying.

I'd say the "criticism" is more concern than anything. Despite his struggles, Timmy is still beloved in SF, so like Shape said if Papa Lincecum is this upset about the current reaction of the fans/media/etc., then he's gonna be in for a rude awakening if his son goes elsewhere.

Very true. When watching his games, I'm wishing he could get back to where he was, not chewing him out for sucking.

I'm all for Mr. Lincecum being a good father, but sometimes I do think he's overprotective of his son. The media (And the radio shows who are trying to get a rise out of people) are the ones proclaiming Armageddon while everyone else wishes Tim would snap out of this funk. I was worried about Tim, and still am to some extent, but then I look at what is going on in Philly and Cliff Lee not winning a game this season yet and I think things are going to be OK.
