Detroit, then 4 game homestand, then a 7 game west coast trip.

Starting with a bang I guess

The last 10 of our schedule is nothing but western conference teams, and good ones at that.

Detroit, Detroit, Colorado, Colorado, St. Louis, Chicago, Chicago, San Jose, Detroit Dallas

3 Detroit games in the last 10. Get points early boys, they won't be easy late.

I was under the impression that the new conferences (of four) would begin in the 2012-2013 season (see quote and ref. below). Is it not (i.e., did I miss that boat of info)? In our schedule released today we play the Stars four times, Jets once, and Wild four times. Everybody else (i.e,. our central div. teams) in our new conference six times.

"The League's intention is for the four-conference set-up to be in place starting with the 2012-13 season" (http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=604852).

The PA said no to that & the league decided to drop it until a later time

Man, 11 Thursday night games, hopefully most are college nights. Planning to see the Rangers and Flyers at the very least.

That was killed off in Jan or Feb.

I have to look at my work schedule ... the first game at St Louis might be an option.

The first 15 games of the season is a brutal stretch.

Some things I noticed:

We dont have the annual game against the Flames on New Year's Day.

We once again finish the season against the Stars. (I know we didnt last year, but Its always usually DAL or COL)

I love the eastern conference teams coming to the Bridgestone this year. (Rangers, Penguins, Flyers)

Overall, I'm just ready to get it going!

Summer sucks, drop the puck!

I also noticed that and I checked the overall schedule. There is only one game on New Years Day for the entire NHL, the Winter Classic. Also I hate the 2 Monday 5:00 games on "Hollidays" barely anybody gets.

Since 03-04 we've finished the season against Col three times, STL twice, Detroit, Chicago, and Minnesota. There is no "annual game against the Flames on New Year's Day" unless a one time occurrence is now "annual".

i remember playing the ducks on new years day a couple of years in a row. We do seem to play Calgary on random Monday holidays though.

also, that Tampa game looks enticing to go to

random holidays and a couple years in a row does not make an event annual. Christmas is annual .... tax day is annual ... once or twice is a coincidence.

With their wording, we're going to miss our "annual" Avery turtles on Thanksgiving event as well.
