You might as well just say that he's not available instead of making a silly post like this.

Be sure of this Toews will get nice a contract offer from us if he ever becomes a UFA he completely fits the mold TNSE is looking for. Even if we make the Hawks overpay that's a win also.
I don't see a trade here at all.
This was the point I was trying to make. Some people seem to have the impression that every home towner wants to come back to Winnipeg. It's not true. Sure, it always holds a little value, but might not hold much water in the end.
One of the main reasons a trade between Wpg & Chi isnt going to work is that Buristrov, Kane, Enstrom & Pavelec are all either UFA/RFA this year or next. That means high contracts for a team close to the cap. Toews meanwhile is signed for 3 more years at a reasonable 6.3.
Why would you assume that to be the only reason? We can just leave it at that because anything else I say would be considered as hearsay anyway. The Jets can probably just wait patiently and we can revisit this in a few years.
Didn't they just have snow in Winnipeg last week?
That's one reason he may not want to move back there full time.
I don't really think it's that unlikely. Bringing Stanley Cup glory to Winnipeg would make him an absolute legend and that's gotta look pretty appealing for a guy like him.
That's your opinion and you're entitled to it. I just don't think he will. He seems entirely too loyal and dedicated to this franchise to just up and leave because he wants to go to his hometown. There's plenty of players who have the option to sign with their hometown team but won't/don't.
If you ask me, Toews is the one player on the Hawks I wouldn't expect to leave via free agency. Hawks will literally sign him to whatever it takes. He's the heart and soul of our team.
1.) No, he wouldn't. Someone would move to wing, possibly Malkin. (X-Crosby-Malkin, and Neal-Toews-X)
2.) Toews will retire a hawk. The hawks would pay him the moon if he wanted, he isn't going anywhere, and will never be brought up as someone who is available for trade. His value to the Blackhawks is almost unmatchable.
