Wait... you gotta be trolling or completely sarcastic.

Anybody willing to trade Subban + Beaulieu for the 1st pick when we have the third has logic issues...

100%

This is a no brainer that any NHL gm would do.

think about it. if you were doing the 2007 draft all over again. would you pick Subban over Patrick Kane? Most likely no one would.

http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/sh....php?t=1196159

shows that it's a pretty close comparison.

hate to say it but they stopped wanting to be a contender when francophonism was a priority over winning at all costs.

And that's why they picked Wickenheiser over Savard. Boy that really worked out.

Unless CLB picks Galy with their pick, then we get screwed.

Subban is not going anywhere.
Also, Subban is worth more than the 1st overall.
Edmonton would have to be throwing something else our way, and I'm not talking about some low end prospect or 7th round pick.

This seems too much like it stemmed from the McGuire comments, doesn't make any sense.

That ='s Subban for Yakupov. We already have the 3rd pick that you mentioned.

Kyper hates Pierre McGuire though. I think Kypreos has suffered too many concussions.

Hell no. I'd give them Subban and Eller if it meant Yakupov and Galchenyuk. We can trade to replace Subban at another time or shot for a lottery pick next year. Getting both Yak and Gal would be phenomenal.

Sadly, he is not. Not only is Subban coming off a down season, Yakupov has a much higher ceiling. We would certainly be adding to acquire that pick.

I would not want to lose Beaulieu if we are dealing with Subban but I would add Eller because Galchenyuk makes him completely redundant. If Anaheim was interested, I'd open discussions is dealing Plekanec for sixth overall. Yes, it makes us a weak team next season but consider...

Yakupov
Galchenyuk
Dumba/Trouba

and we have a shot at MacKinnon or Jones.

the only world in which trading Subban almost made some sense, would have been to send him to Edmonton in order to end up with both Gally & Yakupov coming out of this draft...

with that possibility likely off the table, there are no trades (at least not in the realm that seems realistic for the other teams) that would warrant us moving him.

much rather see Subban emerge into a top-10 dman in the league (which he will) with us, than gamble on some other player coming in and playing at a higher level.

Subban should be a hab for the next decade, period.
