I don't even care about Reilly's injury history. I doubt it has any effect on his future. This guy will be great for Toronto, but at some point Toronto needs to fix up their situation up front.

Enjoy having a deep blueline.
Because the team the Leafs need to take lessons in drafting for need from are the Oilers. LOL. Maybe you guys should think about a trade or two.

Draft picks aren't as concrete as they appear to pan out. Everyone wanted Forsberg or Grigs and Burke still took to his guns and took Morgan O'Reilley. Any seasoned sports fans needs to give him the benefit of the doubt before judging. He had the balls to go against the fans choices and likely, the media as well. He obviously did his homework before making the pick and as such, we should refrain from judgement until we see the development of Morgan.

Rielly's dad's face when they picked his son was classic (his dad is apparently a big Leafs fan for those who aren't watching this on tsn)

Don;t hate passing on Forsberg considering he was in second-tier Swedish league this year... but really Burke?

I'm happy with this pick. I didn't want to draft a euro

i agree, but Grigo may end up the best player in the draft

Girgo would of been nice if you want a high risk pick.

Had my heart set on a forward, but the kid is good. Happy with this.

Reminds me of when everyone freaked out when the Leafs took Schenn over Filatov.

As has been making the rounds on twitter, Burke turned down two big skilled forwards to draft this kid. They must see something in him.

With a little work on his defensive game, he could be just as effective as Kris Letang is for the Penguins.

That sort of dynamic skating and offensive output from the pack end really opens up some ice for forwards and your defensive partner.

He's not small by any means and could end up filling out quite well since he's got the frame for it.

Quite excited about this pick as his potential is massive.

Forsberg is would have been a good pick because thats more of our glaring need, but for high end potential, Reilly wins that hands down.

I agree; he was the BPA. The posters around here would have rather gone for need; which may be understandable due to their personal frustrations... it is however the wrong move at the 5th spot. You have to go BPA.

Notice how the Ducks didn't get the players the posters around here thought were onvious picks at 5th.

Amazing pick!

Gardiner, Riley, Purcy, and potentially Schultz? Ridiculous!

And to those who are freaking out....relax. We've got a great set of forwards with Kadri, Frattin, Colborne, Ashton, Biggs, D'Amigo, Ross, McKegg, AND we still have a high 2nd round pick in a draft that's deep.

Things are looking up!

Look for a Dman to be moved by the end of the draft now. Not terribly disappointed, not terribly excited with this pick. He certainly has as high of an upside as any player in this draft besides Yakupov.

The first two, okay, but Faksa (not Faska) and Ceci? C'mon man, that's ridiculous.

I personally wanted Forsberg, but Morgan Rielly was probably my second pick. I'm pretty happy.

No surprise here ..

Was thinking Reinhart or Rielly would be the most likely if/when Galchenyuk was gone.

who cares about our depth on D!

this looks to be the best player available in the draft and had he been healthy all season who knows where he would have gone...
