Holy **** though, 6 D-men in the first 8 selections. Is that a record?

I knew something like this was coming honestly.
Some surprising picks among those defensemen though.

So because of that move Mcguire thinks The Pens are now a force defensively? Really doesn't make sense to me considering Staal was their best defensive forward.

Seven of the first 11 in the 1996 Draft were d-men.

I think it's hilarious.. Lose their best defensive forward and they want to load up on offensive defensemen

He is just running his mouth. The pens overall got super weak defensively.

Same... honestly don't know how to attempt to counter that offense... It just seems like they always should be right against the cap with Malkin Fluery and Crosby's big hits and they just continue to have the cap room.
Why do GM's continue to bend over to Shero... its like they are scared he will beat them up and just over offer with him.

True..I was thinking that. Sutter is a good player though..at most maybe this trade is a wash for Pitt

If we move up to the Jets pick and draft TT or even Forsberg I'll cream myself. Can you imagine Giroux and TT together? Or Hartnell, Simmonds, and Forsberg on the same team?
