Which is a good thing IMO.

Just a shade under 6' and 185 pounds. Not bad. We'll see where hes at after a summer of training.

agree, i truly believe he is gonna be a superstar, great shot, great skating, big open ice hits that can change the momentum in any game, and he plays with alot of confidence and flair, i think hes gonna be a great player, once he lays his first HUGE open ice hit in the nhl, he will be a fan favorite guaranteed

Similar skill-set to guys like Subban and Phaneuf, but being under 6' is a concern with that style, though at the same time he's well built physically. Also some concerns about his hockey iq, hence my reference to Shawn Belle.

I don't think those are current measures. I'll go find the combine measure. I think he was over 6' there.

From what I've heard about the kid, I like it. I want a defeneman that will stand up and deliver some open ice hits, this kid does that. And I want a defenseman that can contribute offensively, and he does that too.

Dumba fits what with this regime is doing.

His write ups make me think he's similar to Burns without the size.

Posters saying we should have tradEd down aren't living in reality. Russo said that nobody was calling for our pick.

Dumba is a solid pick.

It would have been nice though. And how are we supposed to know no one was calling? Its not like we could decipher anything from the 7 seconds of air time the Wild got.

Like, don't love. Most all of us have likely seen him play only once or twice, though. Seeing as how he's been regarded as a future captain, this is a pick that likely should have been seen from the start. Hell, I believe there's a Dumba thread in the prospect forum where I said as much.

With Dumba being a major junior player, he should get an extended look in camp. Which will help in seeing where he's currently at.

I don't think so ... in this league we ask , "how many games will Shannahan give him for that hit"?

How many games have Subban and Kronwall gotten suspended for? Dumba keeps his arms down so no elbowing suspensions like PK.

Wow I'm surprised. Didn't expect Dumba, thought he'd go earlier. I guess that's a good thing. Exciting player for sure, I'm happy with the pick
