Lot different taking a gamble like that at #21 in a relatively weak draft vs. #12 in one of the stronger drafts in decades.

WJC is against his own age and future NHL prospects. He was disgustingly bad.
Collberg was 17 in a league of men. He played very well in the WJC, against his own competition. He's also a forward.
Some people don't realize it's easier for a forward to develop than a defenseman, making them a better pick. Go figure.

I think we're in a position to swing for the fences rather than take a safe pick.

This day has been horrible so far for the Rangers. The whole division (especially if there's a realignment) has improved dramatically

SEL performance means little, especially average performance. Dominating the international tourneys and dominating the SEL are telltale signs.

Can Pierre pleasure the Penguins some more? It's truly sickening.

If Collberg is there, take him. If not, trade down and get another second or third round pick.

Capitals and Penguins have done great tonight and they may very well be in our division. Terrible

I hate our division so much. Thank God for Charlie Wang. If they're able to put out a .500 team there

Pearson could be had in the 2nd round from what I'm seeing, wouldn't mind him there.
I wouldn't mind either Frk, Maatta, Kerdlies, Aberg, or even Malcolm Subban.
Gaunce or Colberg are my preferred picks. Really think they can turn into very solid players.

The whole Finnish team was disgustingly bad. Nothing new. I said the same thing about Mikael Granlund 3 years ago in Ottawa and look what happened to him. Maatta had 32 points in OHL (23 in POffs) while he was 16. I would say someone is underestimating this player.

And yet 8 out of 10 picks were defensmen? Yeah, go figure.
