Did I leave somebody out? Hank? Opps, forgot. Staal is a better all around player than anyone else on our roster though.

There were many trades made after the first round last year. Campbell was traded to FLA for Olesz.

I don't believe I'm overrating him but time will tell!

i will not be happy if the Flyers get Ryan. Rotter blog has him really pissed at anahiem, and it's definite now that he gets moved. Ryan's father is a Flyers homer, ******* Clark told him to send him anywhere but the Rangers.

Stepan shouldn't hold up a deal for Ryan. that's pure stupidity.

I will admit without a Parise, Nash or Ryan we are not legit cup contenders. Great team? Yes. But we have to battle too hard to score and we need someone other than gaborik and Richards to take pressure off them. I wouldn't trade kreider, but stepan yes. And I believe aa can play 2nd line c. Keep dubi for 3rd line c and boyle 4th

You're 100% right; Stepan should never be classified as a deal breaker for a player like Ryan. That would be shear stupidity!

Sather will have to do something. If the pens get Parise, and the Flyers get Ryan... we are boned.

Stepan- 51 points.
Ryan- 57 points.

Stepan + other assets is going to outweigh a 6 point difference? What's your center depth? Richards-Dubi/Ani- Boyle?

That's horrible. God forbid Richards gets injured.

I want Ryan, but I do not want to gut our C depth for him. No way. He's an elite finisher, not an elite player.

I think management should try to start getting a little creative and it shouldn't be difficult given Sather's trading ability along with a very solid supporting cast.

I WANT BOBBY RYAN! NOW!

Oh yeah who else can't wait to watch Nash's trade value most likely go down lower and Howson get complete **** for any deal?

Somebody said it best when he would prob turn down Crosby,Malkin, and Staal (at the time).

Buzz: Bobby Ryan Is Ready To Move On, Dad Wants Him On Flyers

Quote:
Bobby Ryan had this to say to Randy Miller of the Courier Post:

“I take things personally,. Anaheim to me has been a team over the past year that really has shown me nothing to prove that they want me here, unfortunately. Obviously, it’s not the ideal situation. When you get drafted, you want to win championships with that team and every time they look to add a piece to the puzzle, I’m the piece going the other way.

“I gotta be honest with you. At this point, I don’t care. Move me … because it’s just tough going to the rink every day knowing that if something goes wrong, you’re going to be the guy moved.”

Ryan tells Miller that he is willing to go anywhere, but the Flyers would be his first choice since it would be a return home for him. Ryan is from Cherry Hill, NJ.

Ryan’s dad said, ““In my mind, the Flyers are the best that there is. But I just want to see him happy. The only place he can’t go is the Rangers. I’d never hear the end of it from Clarkie.

If the flyers are in anyway focused on getting another forward, more power to them... Our strong D and Goaltending will beat them no matter who they get.

You can add that to the list of reasons for me. I think he is the better player and option than Nash. He is still young with a more manageable and cap friendly cap hit. Hell fit right into our system easily and shine under the bright city lights.

If Nash had a 6.8 cap hit then it would be a completely different story.

Do people realize Ryan has over a 5m cap hit? That's not MUCH lower than Nash.. just sayin

we've got a great system, but we need to score some goals. this 2g cr@p needs to stop.

just take it for what it is dude. could be a factor or not. You have to think that if the NYR want Ryan they've got to be more aggressive.

Ryan is 5.1 and Nash is 7.8. That is a big difference considering actual point production as well as age and contract length. 3 vs 6 years.

A full season of kreider will help the offense, but still need more than that. We really need a parise, Nash, Ryan to reach the scf though

It's a small difference and I actually believe Nash can put up 40+ here I don't think Ryan would. Jmo and I really like Ryan

100 percent. Even Schony said it last year after the playoff loss to Washington at the exit interviews. he said the Rangers wanted to add atleast 2 bonafide top 6 players and it didn't have to be in one summer. Last year they got Brad Richards, who do we get this year?
