You realize that your logic allows for no questioning of a draft pick...ever?

I find it hard to believe that they had a list with Laughton above Maatta, unless the organization actually has stricken defenseman from their 1st round lists.

Whatever. We will see. I would have liked to have a defensive prospect who projected safely to a 2nd pairing on a cheap cap hit. I think that might have been useful going forward, but, yeah, Laughton could be useful.

That's why I linked this: http://www.mynhldraft.com/2012/NHL-D...Scott-Laughton

It says the only thing he needs to get better is his skating. Everything else is mostly well rounded.

Or cause other teams (like the rangers) could offer more

Exactly. It's amazing how soon people forget what the flyers have achieved in the first round over the years.

This also easily confirms that the flyers have got a deal inplace for a defenseman.

Seriously guys, stop it. This is hysterical

TSN makes their lists by watching the guys, talking to organizations, and talking to scouts. You're right, this is hysterical...but at your expense.

Outstanding pick by Homer ! I was hoping for Wilson, but after he went, i was more than satisfied getting Laughton. Love the cats hard tough gritty look as he walked up to the stage whilst the Pens fans booooooooed their little hearts out !Washington has had a nice draft thus far.

Well, it can also confirm that the Flyers are incredibly terrible at finding, drafting, and developing defensemen. Though that's something we already knew.

I would have liked us to target Matheson, but Florida just took him.

And Seth Jones makes MacKinnon look like his *****.

Yeah and how many flops have they put in their top 10. The flyers are money in the first round.

So any team that disagrees with TSN is wrong?

Give it up, man. You dont know as much as you think you do.

I dont know who would have been a better pick, either, but at least I'm not claiming too.

You guys really need to relax. There isn't some anti-defenseman conspiracy of the Flyers, they felt Laughton was a better player than Maata, I trust Homer.

Have any of you actually extensively scouted either player outside of a YouTube highlight package? Please, trust our scouts they are usually pretty good with players in the 1st round.

Giroux had 103 points in his draft year. It's not really comparable.

What's your point? Players flop. It happens. It doesn't mean they weren't a logically good choice. Organizations choose flops in the top 10 too.
