I personally thought that it was a nice little story...but lord do I dislike the Canucks.

Just think, when the 2019 draft comes around, Sherman/Sakic/Whoever the GM Is can give the same story in reference to Joe Sakic.

Only Skjei, Finn and Aberg from my top 30 remaining out of the guys that weren't 'darkhorse' picks.

If it was anyone else I wouldn't care. Then it would be a nice story.

Not with the Canucks though.

Well the story was stupid because that's the standard number on the jersey because of the year of the draft. It's not like they are ISSUING Gaunce with the #12.

They figured people cared...the figured wrong.

I'm indifferent on him making it. All I want is a top pairing d-man this summer.

Duthie seems like that kid the kid that everyone tolerates because of who their older sibling is, but they secretly want to pummel.

Kroenke should have pulled the "Ownership Card" in regards to the Coyotes situation, and demand their pick be traded to Colorado

*Joking of course*

I think they like him. That's why guys like Burke and Gillis actually speak to him. Otherwise they would just tell the media to **** off. Burke always does interviews with Duthie.

...and Duthie invariably asks him to comment on trade rumours and speculation and Burke invariably answers that he can't comment on it because it would be tampering.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Devils take Collberg.

Oh I love watching Duthie interviewing Burke, but when I see it, to me it just seems like Burke has a minor sense of loathing for him and the questions he asks, such as the Luongo question earlier tonight.

I think Burke just likes to be on TV and would interview for TSN even if it was someone with whom he had a personal animosity with.

Tanner Pearson's a really good player imo, would've taken him ahead of some of these other fwds and would take him over Collberg. This is why I was hoping we could get to 30-35, could've gotten a really solid winger.

My problem with Pearson is his age.

"If I told you, I'd have to kill you."

That had me laughing when Burke said that...man I can't stand him and his ego though, but you've got to give him credit on something...he always tries to make things interesting for whichever team he's with.

He might end up as an Andrew Ladd type of player if all goes well but at the same time, he's going to be 20 years old shortly so it's not really the same kind of comparison when you're comparing players 2 years younger than him.

He'll get picked but there are still a lot of guys with good upside on the board. I'd say Pearson goes between 40 and 60.
