How old is the swedish kid they signed?

Listed as Price, not accurate. Price is big and positionally solid, not a great athlete. Subban is averaged size (about 6'1") and a super athlete, closer to Lundqvist who he said he tries to play like.

As if there wasn't enough irony, Price. I think it's time to break out the bourbon.

It's a troll pick by Chia because the Bruins are a much better team than the Habs, they finished ahead the last 4 years, they bounced them out of the playoffs in 2 of those years, one of them leading to Lord Stanley, we don't see a near futur when the roles are reversed and now, we have the better Subban.

Very poor Habs...

Thomas alone? Nope, but given the draft field, Thomas situation, and who was available the move doesn't strike me as a terrible one.

Another d-man may have been nice, but the prospects on those available weren't necessarily better than those of Subban.

I don't see it as a huge mistake=at least no less risky than anyone else availabe.

Shocked, but like it, just really shocked. Lots of potential, never gave up a shoot out goal all year and will likely be the starter for Canada at the WJC next year. In this draft everything is a guess.

One thing this draft shows us again just how special dougie Hamilton is in the eyes of this organization.

They absolutely do not like to draft defensemen. Chia has taken few and very far between in his time in charge, but they jumped all over Dougie last year.

I guess it is possible that he viewed Skjei and Finn as nothing special 5/6 type defensemen. i get it with Thrower who I think is a mid to late second round value, but I would have thought Finn would have been their man
