Comparisons to Mike Richards are Care Bear Stares to my annoyance of not taking Maatta.

The more I read about Laughton, the more I like. Gah.

Going to be hard not to compare everything he does to Mike Richards. It's unfair.

I love Laughton's player type, but I just don't see how he fits right now, or even down the road for that matter - unless Schenn is going bye-bye or changes to wing full-time.

Hmmm
What if they are beginning to think about Schenn as a LW instead of a C long-term?

C - Giroux-Couturier-Laughton / Cousins
LW - JVR-Schenn
RW - Voracek, Simmonds, Read

Yeah, sorry. I wasn't trying to put lines together.

I'm not certain this means Schenn is out the door; that's all I was trying to say.

May the other team never have the puck again.

Line 1: Can't get the puck off our sticks.
Line 2: Here, have the puck, you will be defended.
Line 3: Can't get the puck off the boards. Exhaustion.

If JVR and Schenn gets traded there is no way Simmonds plays on the 3rd line lol.

I think that was on the fly. Holmgren, like Clarke, usually get to business. They don't dawdle around with being nice. Unlike how this draft progresses, they get up to the stage, make the pick, take pictures, and get the hell off the stage.

I wanted a defenseman, but I'm not about to question the Flyers when picking a center. They clearly know a lot about centers.

Ryan - Couturier - Giroux
Simmonds - Schenn - Voracek
Hartnell - Laughton - Read
Wellwood - Cousins - Sestito

You know something, I really like it. I think that can be a very scary good team in the future. Now, in the 2nd round, address that defense position.

I think it is a bit a stretch to say that he projected as much more than a 4C, no? A good 4C, but I'm not sure anyone ever had him pegged to provide a great deal of offense at the NHL level...

Yeah, I'm pretty stoked. And even if we drafted Scott, we're still getting some D, for sure. People need to calm down.

So in the last year or so the Flyers have:

Traded away Mike Richards
Traded for a guy that Homer said could be the next Mike Richards (Schenn)
Drafted a guy whose favorite player is Mike Richards and models his game after him.

My head is a bit dizzy.

How long do you think it would take him to be in the NHL?
