I love the pick.
We need a guy who's willing to take some chances (physically, offensively, etc), and actually has the tools to make those chances turn into something.
Couldn't be happier with what was available at 7.

Shouldn't he be at the prospects camp that occurs in a few weeks?

I was totally expecting Teuvo, but I'm glad they called up Dumba. Trouba was my first choice, but I think Dumba brings some things that we definitely need. Also glad that Trouba went to the Jets.
Too bad I just traded away Dumba on HUT for 4000 pucks.

I thought those camps were being cancelled because of the CBA. Hopefully, they are still on.

I am so happy with this pick. Going into to the draft tonight I was hoping for him or Reinhart / Rielly.
Dumba is an electric player and if he can develop the rest of his game, will be the best D prospect in the draft (in my eyes). Reinhart is consistent and plays with great poise, has the size.... Rielly is a gifted offensive juggernaut .... Dumba, energy, great shot, gets points, fights, hits, just needs to refine and settle down at times.
I think Dumba will go back to Red Deer next season but will play in 9 NHL games to start the season, pending CBA talks and NHL schedule.
Great pick, am very happy and will sleep well tonight

I like it... was also hoping they'd take forsberg also. but I'd probably be expecting him to play too much like Peter.

I've actually settled on Dumba as my #1 choice of what should be available at #7 and couldn't be happier to see him picked.
If we could just find a #1 true dman now, imagine the potential in two to three years.

NHL Network crew loves our pick. They've loved every pick so far, so, whatever, but still.
