Did anyone hear anything about Dubinsky being in rehab? Just a rumor I've heard around the bush and I just wanted to know if anyone else heard something similar?
It's a small difference and I actually believe Nash can put up 40+ here I don't think Ryan would. Jmo and I really like Ryan
I disagree, everything counts when you have a cup contending team that spends to the cap epecially with all of the young talent due raises over the next 3-4 years with a potentially lower cap numbers due to the CBA. It really does add up.
I am not saying Nash can or can't put up 40 consistently here even though I believe he def can put up 35-40 a year consistently but so can Ryan. It isn't even doubting Nash or hating on his abilities its just that 7.8 will hurt us in other areas and then its not so worth it. If he made 6.8 million you would prob have another half dozen teams in on him.
100 percent. Even Schony said it last year after the playoff loss to Washington at the exit interviews. he said the Rangers wanted to add atleast 2 bonafide top 6 players and it didn't have to be in one summer. Last year they got Brad Richards, who do we get this year?
Nash, thinking about it more, anyone but staal girardi hank mcd kreider gabs Richards should be available. I think Nash +ufa center is better than something like stepan + ufa wing

Hoping it's just bunk.

if u think about it, as long as dubi goes back, Nash cap hit for next 3 years at least that dubi is signed would be 3.6 (7.8-4.2).

Yeah i have thought about that too I am just against Nash because of Howsons demands, when you factor his contract and his genius GM's demands then we all know the answer to that. I said before here and most of us probably feel this way too, we only should get Nash if it is on our terms and not Howson, otherwise I think Bobby Ryan should be a main target.
Bottom line we need somebody at all costs. Do everything you can to improve but without gutting your roster/future.

no kreider mcd staal girardi hank gabs Richards anyone else fine

I would only trade stepan if we can than turn around and trade dubi for a second line center. That's getting creative.

Callahan isn't getting traded as well and I am sure the Rangers have Stepan and MDZ up there but would think about moving them in the right deal. I'd rather deal Erixon than MDZ but other teams would want MDZ and the same goes for AA instead of Stepan. At least we know Kreider and Mcdonagh are going nowhere along with the obvious ones.

knew I forgot someone. Yeah callahan is not being traded.
I don't like the way he mentioned Nash and Ryan. He makes it seem like 95% of our attention will be on Nash and then as an after thought we look at Ryan.
had to be a ton........I mean they got a very good 3rd line young C in Sutter so errr Dubi or I would guess Anisimov with the contract being less........then the 8th pick I believe which is very high and then a D man out of College that was a 2nd rounder so say Thomas?.......Carolina paid too much for Jordan....he's a glorified 3rd line C , bubble 2nd in my opinion

yeah their 1st overall brought it over the edge. Duby 1st and maybe prospect, then Carolina added their 8th overall and Pitts said ok.

That makes me rather uneasy.
Dreger is a dummy and its obvious Ryan will move before Nash since the demands wont be ridiculous compared to Nash
