By the time you fix them all your big guns will be able to test free agency and will be gone... Oilers have some fire power but like the Flames their management is what is holding the team back.
lmao. Feaster traded down because the guy(s) they wanted at 14 obviously wasn't/weren't available. Flames fans have been wishing this guy would shut his ****ing mouth and do his job for at least a year.
And the sad part is, a lot of them seem to be buying into his ****.
... Or maybe we're just not that anxious to declare that Jankowski will never play an NHL game less than three hours after he's drafted?
Face it, folks: You would've found a way to bash anything the Flames did today. It's all HF does. The only thing that's changed about Mark Jankowski in the last 24 hours is the team that holds his rights, and in that time, he's gone from an intriguing prospect with first-round upside to a guaranteed bust. The same thing would've happened to Ceci or Teravainen or anyone else Feaster could've picked - on these boards, if they're Flames, they're scum.
Why can't we seem to get a discussion going to about this kid? Why does it have to be either "he's the best player in the draft," or "He is the worst pick in the draft."
No reasonable and well thought our comments are being responded too.
What are the knocks on him? --- He plays in an inferior league. Because of this he is very raw and unproven.
So what happens next year if he puts up incredible numbers in Dubuque? If he was born 3 days later he would have been a 2013 draft pick? Would he then be considered a top 10 pick with that size and skill set?
Now everything that I said is just assumptions, but thats all there is right now.
Can anyone argue with what I said?
I find it mind blowing that there is probrobly 2-3 people one this board that have seen him play, yet make claims about him as if they are pro scouts.
Yet everyone doubts what Calgary scouts have to say about him? Would this be the first time that a good player ranked late 1st-2nd was successful?

Sorry you make it sound like they will leave without the Oilers getting any return.
I rather have a crop of Yakupov, Hall, RNH, Eberle and all 4 want to be out and we trade them for " needs " rather than drafting based on needs and waiting for those prospects to develope right. With a 1st round Draft pick, you DO NOT draft based on needs.
You've been in every thread, bashing the Flames, Feaster, and the fans.
Odd obsession.
Thread was made, I posted in it. Whole point of the boards. I've also been in many other threads unrelated to the Flames. Your sole reason for posting is to blindly defend the Flames and every decision they make, regardless of what it is.

I think it's a great pick. I could care less what haters say about it, as I always do. Flames haters are maniacal in their zeal so you can't really take what they say seriously.
Anyway, can't wait to see what he does next year in Dubuque, especially relative to Girgensons.
Calgary cannot afford to speculate. They have one of the worst prospect pools in the NHL. This may prove a shrewd pick, but I think I would have gone a much safer route.

Ironic.
Ironic? Your post is ironic.
I've never seen Jankowski play, I'm not claiming this to be a super great pick, just a very risky one.
I blindly defend the Flames? And what do you do? Apparently you blindly attack them, because you've never seen the kid play.
The Flames could have done anything else today and you would have found another way to criticize it. I can't imagine being as spiteful as you are.
No, that is not true. Just further evidence that people hear what they want to hear.
Feaster said Jonh Weisbrod watched him play and called immediately to say that this is the kid that in ten years people will look back on as potenitally the best player taken in the draft.
This thread is a joke, and most of you look completely foolish for jumping to conclusions. Can't say I am surprised.
