If they take any Russian, it better be Grigo's linemate in the MHL Gusev.
Then trade for Kucherov.

CSKA Red Army third line reunited in Buffalo.

If Thrower were on this list I might've voted for him, but I went with Collberg for some extra talent in the forward pipeline. Dansk is another but I think there could still be a worthwhile goalie prospect in the 3rd.

That's a pretty interesting notion. It'd really hurt them in 2012, which would help them in 2013. I don't think Ottawa's interested frankly considering they're a young team on the rise and 2013 should be a really good draft, but they might be.

12-13's not our year anyway...possible lockout, Grigs either a rookie or in junior, Girgs almost certainly not NHL ready, Armia still in Europe, Hodgson/Ennis/McNabb all still really raw.

Pegula may even have seen that last year; after all, he said it's a 3 year plan, not a 2 year plan.

Damn, looking at the remaining list and there are still a lot of good players I really like... any chance we trade say an Adam or Brennan to recoup the 2nd traded for Girgs? I wouldn't mind trading in Adam for a shot at Dansk or Collberg but it would have to be one of the top few teams for those guys specifically.... thoughts?

BTW, if we can't pull off my latest crazy trade idea, I hope we land Dansk. He might be the best goalie in this year's draft, and our goalie pipeline is pretty awful right now. We need to start grooming Miller's heir, and I don't think it's Enroth.

Frk, Thrower, or Dansk would work.

Steve Ott...

If I had to actually pick, the most physically imposing forward left on the board.

Voted Sissons, I still want to stockpile some physical gritty forwards. Failing Sissons I would go with Sutter or Kosmachuk. Collberg would be pretty good value at 44 but we have a lot of skilled smaller forward types, though Collberg is 5'11, so would not be that small once he puts on some muscle mass. Plus I really think Collberg is going to go before we get a shot, he was projected as a late 1rst rounder I think...

Don't think Dansk will be there. If I had to put money on one pick, it'd be CBJ picking Dansk at 32.

And there he goes: Dansk to CBJ. Made too much sense not to happen.
