I said that the Devils would finish in the bottom part of the eastern conference. I was wrong.

None of these will ever compare to mine.

Right before 04 draft:

"Ovechkin won't ever be more than a decent second-liner, I see him semi-busting"

this season was wrong about the blues... had em pegged at 8 or 9. A testament to what a coach can do.

Tim Connolly as a number one center? He can score goals and dish the puck. I'm sure he won't get hurt this year. Playoffs here we come!

The Canucks will "turn on the switch" for the playoffs- this year
Chirs Tanev is not physical enough to amount to anything- beginning this year
Loui Eriksson can't preform without brad Richards
Hodgson is untouchable- going into the deadline
Washington will go all the way- run when they got beat my Montreal with Halak 2010 I think (I had Ovy, Backstrom, Semin, Green, and Knuble in my playoff pool)
The Yotes will need a new goltender come mid season

Had to eat crow about this post that I wrote last July:

In my defence, the Kings didn't have Carter yet. But putting Quick last?? Yikes ... all he did was be the best goalie in the world last season. In hindsight, it's clear I was doing the ol' HF "what have you done for me lately" and putting Crawford and Howard over Quick on the basis of a few playoff series.

I thought Dwight King would never see NHL action again after his 6 game stint last season. And I was pissed when he got called up this season. Boy am I happily incorrect there.

Also though Welch would be the future stud of Pittsburgh's blueline.

I thought Colin Fraser would be a burden for the Kings and was passed we couldn't just take a draft pick instead.

Glad I was wrong.

Before this past season, I had Callahan pegged as an overachieving mutt.

Pretty sure I said Coyotes would be a bottom-five team after losing Bryzgalov.

Boy did I look like a jacka__ after they eliminated my team in the playoffs. Whoops.

I cried uncontrollably when we signed Jay Bouwmeester.

Crying for whole other reasons now.

I thought Dion Phaneuf would win the Norris his first year out of Calgary. Thank god that didn't happen.

I thought Stamkos was going to bust.

I thought Tavares was going to bust.

I didn't think Crosby was worth the hype.

I thought Quick would come back down to earth a long time ago and live in the AHL.

I thought Vesa Toskola was a better goalie than Nabokov

I thought Recchi was done as a player in 2007

I thought Halak was a flash in the pan before 2010

I thought Karlsson was Phaneuf 2.0

I thought Turris should have been the #1 overall and was going to be the next Yzerman.

I thought Olli Jokinen would go back to being a 90 point player in 2009-10
