...I want to get mad, but I literally have no idea who Stolarz is.

EDIT: Ah, a goalie.

Interesting.

My thoughts are that we need decent young defensemen, a good one in Thrower was available, and instead we pick the 10th ranked North American goalie much higher than he should've gone.

His favorites are: NJ Devils, Brodeur, and Mark Wahlberg. Really.

He'll be a beast for them in a few years, from what I understand.

Probably the best possible place for him to land.

Maybe the players we picked will turn out to be good, but could we not have moved down to pick them while adding other picks? I'm pretty disappointed, myself.

From the mocks / other fans reactions, I don't think we could have dropped much and picked Laughton. Vancouver, it seems, was intent on taking him at 28. I don't know who else.

This other guy is a bit of a headscratched...but I guess the Flyers wanted their goalie.

Weird.

Curious question: how come there are 31 picks in this round?

I just don't like that he's planning on going to college at Nebraska, just seems like goalies who end up not going to big hockey schools never end up panning out.

Sharks got a compensatory pick for not signing former 1st round pick (from Vancouver) Patrick White

Flyers must have another solution to the defense problem.

They're ignoring it completely in the draft.

Deep defensive draft. Draft a center and goalie. Adorable.

Pens apparently pushing hard for Suter's rights. Quite interesting, given that there's been a lot of press about Suter wanting to stay in the West

agreed. i cant imagine they couldnt have moved down and still gotten Stolarz. and its true, they may end up being good players [i truly hope they do] but we reached for two players and neither one is a d-man which we desperately need!

Watch Pittsburgh take Hyka to troll us.

They hold the pick before the Flyers.
