Cue unjustified outrage.

Slepyshev or Stepan are the only guys I've heard of at this point. Haha

Possible goalie at 119?

Red Line:

The ultimate sleeper would be Connor Hellebuyck, a massive (6-4, 185) netminder who plays in the unlikely destination of Odessa, Texas. He's a kid that we kept noticing every time we went to North American Hockey League tournaments to check out Anthony Stolarz. The 1993 birthdate is a classic case of a late bloomer who is raw as hell, but had the size and physical tools (quick feet, sharp glove) necessary to become a good prospect.

What about Joacim Eriksson? Had a good SEL year.

Would love to see the Rangers draft Viktor Svedberg.

I think we traded the pick either because MacEachern went to St.Louis at 67 or because Andersen went to the Ducks at 87. My money is on Andersen.

I REALLY like him. Phenomenal for Skelleftea last year.

I think we either take a goalie, a European with high upside, or another high school/prep kid

Sounds good to be. Take one of him Stepan/Slepyshev/Zlobin and I'll be happy.

He was ranked 203 in NA by Central Scouting I believe. So wasn't expected to go this high.

Odd. I get that we were picking at the end of the round...but still would think we could have got them to throw in a 5th or 6th this year.

Detroit grabs ANDREAS ATHANASIOU. They're NEVER afraid to take these high ranked kids who fall. And most work out. But Athanasiou could be just another Evan McGrath.

They really need something like a sidebar/seperate ticker to constantly update what is going on. It really takes away from watching on TV when you can't be updated on what's going on.

I love Detroit, but Athanasiou is a dumbass. Plenty of talent, but he's a birdbrain. Nothing going on upstairs. He doesn't know how to play, he just knows how to stick handle.

If I had to guess i'd say it'll be the obligatory yearly picked on whatever obscure European league player that our scouting staff really limed ala Hagelin, Fasth, Horak, Ceresnak.

Or Prokhorkin, but the question is whether or not he and Slepyshev would come to North America.
