Lol. Couldn't have said it any better.

Remember when Holmgren was an idiot for his blunder? We were doomed that the NHL took notice and would draft him high next year.

Pretentious attitude.

I was at that game. Hyka may never make the NHL, but if somehow that performance could be replicated and expanded upon: He skated all over those invitees.

Plus, the Flyers, who know something about forwards, did want him.

Still, no need to be that smug.

Seth Griffith to Boston.

I thought he might sneak up a bit after the playoffs.

141. PHI - Reece Willcox

So, um, I'm looking at the draft card of Stolarz, the Flyers' goalie pick at No. 45, and it says his favorite "Place to visit: Batman."

Flyers don't like Hyka as much as we did 8 months ago.

No one else seems to either though.

Maybe he gets a contract after the draft is over.

So the other Flyers took him.

Hyka goes to the Flyers West. With a pick they got from the Flyers.

Of course there is. All those people were more than willing to act as though they were much smarter than Homer and all the other GMs and how stupid Homer was and how now someone else will get him and so forth and so on.

Can't believe a future superstar like Hyka was passed over 381 times over two drafts. If only some of the experts around here were in charge.

The Minnesota Wild drafted the grandson of a Minnesota North Stars legend (Lou Nanne).

I know, right? Same thing with Ericsson. Passed over in last year's draft AND not offered a contract anywhere after the draft. Why don't the GMs just come on here to see who to draft???

Nah. He made an impression. That's all it is.

It would be remiss to believe that the contingent of people that are high on Hyka, literally believe that they are "smart than" Holmgren. C'mon.

Vasiliev:

Craig Button: Shoulder injury killed draft stock; would have gone much higher if he wasn't hurt; likened him to Doug Murray.

It was never so much about Hyka and his potential as it was that an ENTIRE FRONT OFFICE failed to understand NHL draft rules. Rules that most of the GMs in a friggin fantasy keeper league which based its rules on the CBA actually understood.
