Quote:
Scout’s take: “We hear this about him, he’s just a pure hockey player. Goal line to goal line, he works so hard, got a good compete level. I think he’s going to be a great college player. He’s got some potential because he just works so hard.”

Chiarelli’s take: “A couple of interesting one’s, the Collier kid, [he is] kind of under the radar a little bit, but a real gritty kid.”

Another lw, making it 4 for this draft. And he's undersized at 5-9 168. Believe he was draft eligible last year as well.

nope, about a month too young to have been eligible last year. One of the older first-time eligibles though.

He's on the smaller side and Mass HS Hockey isn't what it once was, but that's the perfect time to make a run at a guy like this.

Do you know where he's committed to play college hockey by any chance, Dave?

Sounds like a decent sleeper pick. You never know with those NE HS hockey guys, could turn into a decent pick. Anyone know if he's going the college or junior route?

Love this pick... Was mentioned in as a noteable 'sleeper pick' in at least one draft guide.

Ive seen him play quite a bit. He's a go for the throat type of player and can play all 3 zones with a nice scoring touch. 2 time state champ, voted ESPN Bostons Mr Hockey award senior year, scheduled to play in the EJHL for the Valley Jr Warriors next year on advice from BU coach Jack Parker to get some seasoning prior to joining BU in 2013. Hes an athlete, good friends with Matthew Grzelcyk Bostons 3rd round pick who will also play at BU. Yes he is on the smaller side but has no problem playing against the big boys and still stands out amongst them. Also can be chippy when needed. He is definitely a steal at pick 189 and will surely make the team at some point. Comparables: Theo Fleury, Dustin Brown

Forgive me if I'm skeptical when a person registers solely for the purpose of telling us that our 7th round pick was a steal and will surely make the team.

Now tell me, are you Brendan himself or one of his relatives?

Seriously, though, thanks for the insight into the type of player he is. Sounds like an interesting guy to follow.
