Should have drafted Carter Rigby. He could be another Jamie Benn type of player.

François Brassard is the son of Le Droit's sports editor Marc Brassard. It's like drafting Bruce Garrioch's son.

Looks like someone told Murray to draft less Europeans.

The sens passed on some very good hockey players - They better see something really special in Timothy Boyle because a 4th round pick for him seems high

Love the Ceci, Maidens, Brassard picks, know nothing about the rest, intrigued with Boyle/Wikstrand picks.

Gusev to Tampa is awesome. They already have Kucherov and Namestnikov and drafted Vaselevski this year. Stevie Y is trying to re-create the Russian glory from his Detroit days.

Same, a bit uncertain about those 2 as well... but the others seem to be very good value for where we picked them

For some reason we seem to kill in the 1st round or in the 5th/th round, sometimes in the 2nd but rarely in the 3rd or 4th round

Our picks, in order of preference for me :

Ceci
Maidens
Brassard
Baillargeon
Wikstrand
Driedger
Boyle

Note : I haven't read much about Boyle yet so it's a bit biased here

Doesn't mean anything... It just happened this way this year.

Battling Yakupov for 1st overall to last in the draft. That's gotta suck.

Really interested to see what Baillargeon's all about. This is obviously a crappy/average draft but the guys they picked are intriguing. Ceci pretty much makes this draft on his own but Maidens and the goalies seem like they have a decent shot at being players down the road.

Ceci was such a coup, I've been preaching how we need that secondary puck mover and we got him. It just so happens that he has the upside to become much more than that. I wouldn't be shocked if he got some games in the NHL this year.
